Hotel Mount Castle

I was there in January (winters), I'm not sure about summers but in winters this is a great place to stay. I experienced my first snowfall experience from this hotel. The service here is very good. You ask for something and you get it. Although the food is costly here but since this is very near to central market, you can go there and eat your favorite food. Overall a decent place to stay. You will also get heater if you feel cold.

Mount castle at its best ...the hotel is jst pretty awesome with nice interior design .. hotel staff - one word for them very great .. friendly ..very honest to work ..felt like my second home ..I will highly recommend to go there Nd have a stay ..I miss Mount castle.. surely visit again ☺

Great Place to Stay in Winters

Awesome

At first we were really impressed with the Photos of the interiors and the Hotel which truly are very good. But, the location of the Hotel is little messy. It looks as if it's between a group of houses(that doesn't mean you feel as if you are at home). You don't feel like you are staying in a hotel if you walk around and reach the hotel. When enquired with the people there we got to know that it's just a place for the Riders. If you are going with Family, strictly it's not for you. We are group of friends, so had to adjust.  

Coming to the Services, it's completely a One Man Show. One chief cook who is the receptionist, electrician, mechanic, etc, etc. Don't expect any delicacies. He tried to cook whatever we asked for but they taste awful. Breakfast and Veg Curries are below average. "NO NON-VEG STRICTLY". Neither it's tasty nor it is fresh. The owner says they have wifi and we can see the router as well in the first floor. But it never worked in our 4 day stay.

Not so impressed

Just get any other hotel than this!! That's all! The owner of the hotel is the worst possible person ever. The rooms don't even have adequate lighting.The heaters don't work.The staff keeps smoking in your rooms when you're away. All you get for breakfast is bread and boiled eggs. No consideration for vegetarians. Save yourself and live in a homestay or something.

BAD SERVICE!! BAD OWNER!!

I have travelled many places of India from kashmir to Andaman but the service of this hotel was so horrible. Mr. Mehboob who was the incharge switched off the phone on the day of departure so that he can save the breakfast. There was no staff in the hotel also and we had to buy bread from the street because of which we were also arrived late at airport.

Worst ever

When we go on a vacation, our basic needs of good food and good hotel ambience should be fulfilled. But this hotel has horrible food quality, extensions are not working. Not a good place to stay. Whatever you ask is not available with them eg. Poha. When we asked the waiter for Honey Ginger Lemon tea, he said no ginger is available and even no tea bags are also available. Bread butter was awful.

Worst hotel, not recommended

Our group stayed here for about 8 nights and 9 days. If there was an option to give 0, I would do that. I would list down the negatives first. We spotted bed bugs in our room.
Kitchen was very dirty.
90% of the time there is No power and no generator too. you have to sit with candles after 6pm. 
Inexperienced kids deployed in kitchen, and the same guys clean the rooms and bathroom.
These kids are actually not innocent though.
They dont give you the bill after your meal and will tell you that they would give you during your checkout to make it easy. 
They do this to manipulate the bills. 
They made manual bills, and charged different prices for the same item. 
Ex:3 Boiled eggs, which we dint even order was for Rs.150.
If omlete on day one is 200, 0n day 2 it is 300 and day 4 is 400
Your bill will have a big list of things that you have never ordered and they will argue that you have ordered for all that.
You would faint if you see the container in which they serve the rotis.The most dirtiest and unhygenic.
How much ever you tell them, food is never on time.
Though they charge 1200 per room, for double sharing, rooms are not cleaned daily.
If you order food for 10 people, they will make only for 4-5 people and tell you that it is for 10 people and also charge for 10.
The worst and shocking part was when we confronted Mr.Mehboob (the owner or care taker)who will be the sweetest person until you go to settle the bill.
He will abuse you verbally and even more shockingly, he even manhandled one of our friends and got physyical.
He is a rowdy.When we wanted to check out in the morning , he locked the gate and argued that he dint have the keys with him., just to trouble us. 
We had our flight in another 2 hours. After we raised our voice, he got the keys.
There is no way that you can fight or make him understand as the whole staff behaves like gangsters and will loot you.
I am shocked how others here had good experience.

Horrible place.Not recommended

Avoid the place. We stayed there for 3 nights. There’s no wifi. It’s unclean and the service is terrible. No running water. The proprietor is only talk and no action. Even getting a bucket full of water for the toilet or getting your thermos filled with hot water is a task. Most uncomfortable stay. 

acclimatisation stay 

In Last 10 Year I Visited 50hotels In Acroos India . But Hotel Mount Castle Was Very Wrost Hotel In My Life. After Paid Full Payment Not Get Proper Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner. They Cheated Us We Are There From 20-24 Aug 2020 In Group Of 28pax. They Treated Us Like Prisoners.
