Amazing location, beautiful views, cool ambiance, can't see sun even mid day during summer, very good food, the best service, food and my list keeps continuing. we were not willing to vacate the resort, by what to do need to earn for living...

We spent a weekend at this property in July 2016. We value solitude and privacy over luxury, and this proved to be a good choice. To reach the spot, we drove 10 km on a scenic, well-laid out tarred road after deviating from the main road near Vandiperiyar. We then parked our car and transferred our luggage on to a 4 wheel drive jeep, that took us to this place in less than two minutes. (We booked in July as we enjoy rain tourism)

Built on stilts placed atop a hill with fences and trenches guarding its perimeter, it is located in a scenic part of Idukki district, close to Gavi. This is not a luxury destination. There are a total of two rooms upstairs each with a comfortable double bed with attached bath. Bathrooms are really clean and functional with hot water supply, that is a must for the cool weather. The bed was comfortable. 

Considering it is a large cabin-style custom housing built on top of steel stilts, the room was surprisingly well-furnished with good fittings all around. There was evidence of recent renovation work, with polished wood panelling outside the cabin, new switchboards and LED lighting. There is no TV, which suited our style - we prefer to not watch TV while on holiday. There is a corridor that runs all around the two bedrooms, with large glass windows that offer views to the hills and misty scenery around. 

The dull metal framework seen from outside gives it a rather basic, spartan feel as you climb up the stairs, but once you are inside your room it feels as good as any three star facility. 

The only sounds we heard during our stay were that of nature. There was no noise pollution - a problem with touristy spots like Munnar town. Incidentally, being the top of a hill in Idukki, there's plenty of wind blowing all around especially at night that will rattle the windows, so be prepared to listen to the audio when visiting on July-August. 

There's an area near the perimeter reserved for campfire, but this wasn't an option as we went in rainy season. 

Outside the property there are the trademark velvet-green egg shell-shaped hills typical of the region that allow for gentle trekking, an experience made memorable by the mist that comes and goes in a blink. One can do the exciting hop of the hills by jeep too, which we did twice. 

We saw elephants at a distance, within the national reserve forest area that's hardly 1 km from this spot. Wild bison, mountain  goat and wild boar are also known sightings. I recommend carrying a binoculars and a high powered zoom camera for an enhanced wildlife experience.  

The best part of our stay was the hospitality. We were treated like royalty, and our meals got cooked to order with the finest ingredients and no compromises. Mr Shaji and his assistants Mr Chinni (Prajaim) and Mr Lakshmanan were most helpful. Although out in the middle of a wooded area surrounded by hills, we never felt insecure as the staff were boarded in the quarters located within the perimeter. The charges were reasonable. 

Ideal for two couples to spend the weekend in the lap of nature, cool weather with gentle mist and mountain breeze, with sumptuous food, 4 wheel drive across the rolling hills and gentle trekking. For larger groups, they also have a dormitory in the next building, that can sleep 6 people. 

Would go again for sure. 

I am from Trichy, Tamil Nadu. I am stayed in this hotel two day, Hotel surrounding is nice and location also good. Good quality room and nice service is provided. I am happy with all the facility in grate manner.

The rooms are basic. The location and ambience is excellent. Cars won't reach the property, they do provide a pick up by jeep from the parking area, even though it's a walkable distance only. 
The sunset view is amazing and unforgettable from the accommodation.
 They do provide food on our prior requirements... But when we went we choose to cook since they provided the kitchen facility and it is on a chargeable basis. If we choose to cook need to get all the things arranged prior to reaching there as there is no facility to purchase anything there. The care taker was a nice young chap... He assisted us in the cooking... He provided us camp fire and helped us in preparing bar be que... 
All over it's a very nice place to chill out, most suitable for a group outing...
