I was first time in India, in Kerala. I was looking for nice accomodation close to Fort Kochi. Highly recommened Jasmin villa homestay. Nice furnished clean room with aircondition. Jasmin is name of owners wife, who can arrange all tasty food for you not only breakfast Mr Wilson is always ready
to help you to choose nice places for sighseeing. 

Jasmin Villa 

Jasmin and Stanley are marvellous hosts and have taken care of our stay in every detail since we arrived to Kochi. The homestay is very clean, comfortable, and seems renovated. Most importantly to us, it has amazing food. 

Jasmin is a wonderful cook and prepares healthy, varied and delicious homemade meals. My father had the requirement of mild spices and he was accommodated so he was able to enjoy authentic Kerala food. They are also very flexible in terms of times to have breakfast or dinner, which helps a lot.

The neighbourhood is a very nice residential area and has little shops, a bank, etc. in case you need anything. Fort Kochi's touristic sites are nearby either by walk or cheap auto rickshaw.

Amazing stay - and wonderful food!

We had a great stay at Stanley and Jasmin's place. We even extended by an additional night because we enjoyed the place so much. We stayed in two different rooms which were both equally nice and spotless.

The AC allowed us to cool off after a sweltering day in the heat (it's hot in early March in Kochi!), and the shower was great too (make sure to ask about the switch for the hot water if you don't want to take a cold shower like we did on our first night there!)

The place is ever so slightly out of the main attractions of Fort Kochi and Jew Town but we found it to be a blessing because of the quiet and the greenery (nice houses with fruit trees all around). The walk is nice enough but can get very hot. There's plenty of rickshaws all over the place that will take you to the main destinations for less than 100 rupees.

Jasmin is an extraordinary cook and we had the best breakfasts ever: local delicacies (appam, veg curries...), fresh fruits, etc. The servings were big and we hardly could finish our plates! Every morning we were greeted by different dishes.

Stanley is very nice and full of good advice about the area. Despite being in the tourism business he was not trying to push his own services and was trying to be genuinely helpful. He arranged for someone to pick us up at the airport and was waiting for us when we arrived at 3am.

If we're ever lucky enough to go back to Kochi we'll definitely stay there again!

Wonderful stay

I spent 6 nights at Jasmine and Stanley’s homestay which made my visit as a single traveler to Kochi even more enjoyable.  The room was exactly what I was looking for: clean, confortable, good wifi, a lovely balcony where I could read with my coffee in the morning, and a delicious filling and home-cooked breakfast by Jasmine every morning including fresh fruits and local dishes to taste. Stanley was most helpful with information and advice and organized a great backwater day tour. Located at a distance from more touristy Fort Kochi, I enjoyed  taking the local bus and walking through the different neighborhoods.  I recommend it for all visitors looking for a local experience and I will definitely come back the next time in Kochi.

Felt like home

We stayed for a week after only wanting to stay one night because the owners and the rooms were really amazing! The included breakfast plus the supportive and kind hosts was a real treat! If you want to learn anything about the local cooking you Just have to ask Jasmin. If you want to Explore the area Just ask Stanley. He has a Tourist Office and knows all the nice spots. We would highly recommend this homestay anytime!

My time spent at Jasmin Villa was much more than I expected. Stanley and Jasmin went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and pleasant. I booked the accommodation very last minutes (literally a few hours before arriving) and they had already confirmed my room was ready to go. They have such a lovely home. Clean and tidy. No issues with cleanliness at all. The breakfast was also included and nothing can beat a home cooked meal! Excellent value for money. Staying in a Homestay really allows you to embrace other cultures and appreciate how others live. Better than any hotel in my opinion. Basics were included like a towel, hot water, fresh sheets. Stan was kind enough to share additional information about the area and recommend tours of the Backwaters which you should do for sure! Would definitely recommended to those needing a safe place to stay whilst in Kochi. 

Wonderful stay, With a Wonderful family.

We are happy to be back in this lovely homestay after the pandemic. The family that runs Jasmine Villa is very welcoming and friendly and instantly you feel like being part of the family. They can also help you with transportation, guided tours to the hill stations, backwaters and more. The homestay has spacious and clean rooms with really nice bathrooms. At this homestay you will be spoiled with delicious meals for breakfast and dinner if you like. Jasmines cooking is really fantastic and you can also enjoy her cooking classes if you like.

Lovely homestay in Fort Kochi

The homestay is located somewhat away from the touristy areas, which is good as its quiet and feels safe. Super clean place with comfortable bedding. Stanly and Jasmine are great hosts. Friendly, helpful and unintrusive. Jasmine is a brilliant cook. Would go back just for the food! Overall it was an excellent experience.

Best food ever!

Stanley organised a driver to collect us from the airport at 03.45am and was waiting up for us at 05.45am when we arrived. The room and bathroom are huge and so clean. The WiFi and aircon which are included are excellent. We had lovely fresh breakfasts every day also included. Jasmin is an amazing cook and made lovely meals for us both nights ( my partner can only tolerate really mild food) and she produced food full of flavour but without heat. Stanley Jasmin and their son Enoch made us feel so welcome we didn’t want to leave!

Experience true hospitality

This is a clean and quite accomodation close to the sightseeing. The owner makes you feel really welcome and he is really helpful!!! This is an authentic Indian house. I really recommend this place to stay!!
