Excellent welcome and hospitality from the Manager Achinta Borah and the complete front desk Team.
My sudden Business Trip after back to back meetings was unplanned but the team didn't stop at welcoming me and onboarding within a sudden notice of 5 mins.

We stayed for 3 nights. Breakfast buffet was very good. But dinner buffet was elementary against the price (750+gst for nonvg).
We were upgraded to a superior room when we faced little problem with previous room. Check-in & Check-out were swift. 
DECK CAFE ambience is nice.
Mr Rishikesh Thakuria, the sales manager, was very cordial and helpful. Mr Suman at the reception requires special mention.

Only 4 mins walk from Starbucks Brahmaputra- an excellent location on the river bank. 
6 mins walk to Fancy bazar.
Auto stand is right at the entrance of hotel.
One medicine shop close to the hotel.
It takes around 30 mins by auto for Darshan to Holy Kamakhya Temple.

This hotel is the quintessential business hotel with a very friendly attitude towards its guests. 

Rooms are clean. Bed is a bit smaller to sleep with a kid. They could not provide an extra mattress but offered an extra pillow. 

Food is wonderful. Breakfast and dinner are awesome, lunch is so-so. 

We were allowed to extend our stay till evening for some additional charges. 

Kamakhya temple is nearby. Bramhaputra heritage center is at walking distance. The street is full of hustle bustle with sweet shops, tea shops, restaurants etc. 

We stayed at the hotel for a night and had both breakfast and a meal included in our package. The rooms can be compared to a five star property. However, the toilet was not at par with a five star property. Still I will rate my experience as 5 star because of the food they serve.
We reached at about 2 PM at their restaurant “Aurora” after checking into our room. We ordered for our signature selection, kadhai paneer and dal makhani with veg pulao and brownie with icecream as a desert. To our delight the menu also had tava chapati which was much needed after our excursion. The food came to our table after almost 50 minutes and it made us restless but I can certainly claim that the wait was worth it. The kadhai paneer tasted sumptuous. It felt as if I am treated in one of the bylanes of old delhi. 
Later in evening we ordered for a cup of tea and again to our delight it tasted amazing. 
Overall I will suggest travellers to stay in this hotel and do have a meal in it. It is definitely worth the money you are paying.

Well maintained hotel with polite staff. The famous Kamakhya temple is not too far. 
Walkable distance to  Brahmaputra river. Buffet breakfast had good variety of north and south Indian items, which were tasty too. 

Me  and my  family  visited guwahati  on  11th  may  and we stayed  in  this hotel  for  2  days.This  hotel  is  located in  Pan Bazaar  area.We  stayed  in  a  deluxe  room  and  it  was  a  wonderful  stay  with  clean rooms and  toilets,The  room  service  was  prompt  and  the buffet  breakfast  was  excellent.Though  the  food price  was  on  higher  side it  was  tasty.Moreover  there  are  plenty  of  options  outside  too.But  what  stood  out  was  the  prompt  service  of  the  staff and  cleanliness.This  property  is  just  walkable  distance for  the brahmaputra  cruise to  the peacock  island  where  Umananda  temple  is  located.Overall  we had  a  pleasant  stay.

We stayed there for 2 nights at two separate occasions and both times the experience was good. Check in was swift and fast. Staff very much courteous.Room also were neat and clean with good amenities. Breakfast spread is good with good food. Restaurant food also is okay. 

Located  very near to the markets as also river front from where you can get boat rides. 

Overall I would say good value for money spent.

Plush looking lobby with a very good dining section. Also equipped with a SPA. USP is the cleanliness, courteous staff, tasty food with reasonably good breakfast spread.Sambhar was bad but chutney was good. Centrally located. AC works but no ceiling fan in the room. Overall satisfying stay.

Rejuvenating Guwahati

Came on a pleasant solo trip for durga pooja to Guwahati and had a great stay at the mayflower hotel for the 3rd time which had a magnificent view and quality amenities. However, the experience I had on checking out was rather bitter. 

A receptionist named Ms. Monica had the courage to snub me on my face and went on to be ruthlessly rude for a simple reason that I couldn't communicate in a particular language (hindi). I wasn't surprised at her behavior rather I was amused that for a 3 star hotel like Mayflower having guests all over India and the world, they stoop so low in appointing low grade and incompetent front office staff like Ms. Monica. If that's the behavior we guests are going to face, then such big investments on your infrastructure is going to go down the drain. This is the third time I am coming to this hotel only to never come back in future because of one receptionist. That one receptionist is all it takes to lose your most loyal guests.

Rooms are too compact & poor lighting in the rooms. Check in & check out takes longer than estimate. Almost like a self-service hotel, you have to carry your own bags. Taxi cannot enter the premises. If you are checking out early morning & want breakfast to be packed, you need to inform previous day by 8.00 pm

Average property at very high rate

The hotel personnel are excellent and sympathetic to our concerns.  As it is an old hotel, it is on the way to renovating its interiors.  The bathrooms need to be fixed in terms of the shower doors.   When we stayed at the hotel the bathroom was flooded post the shower as the doors were not aligned properly with significant gaps allowing the water to leak out.  The food served for breakfast was wholesome and filling.  

Convenient location in Guwahati

Stayed here only for a night. Reached a bit late and the whole hotel premises was in darkness- someone at the reception lit up some lights when I arrived. Checkin was fast. 

The floor again was in utter darkness, with flickering room lights. The room from the inside looked fine, but had a pungent smell. There was a general dampness inside the room, like what you’d see in an old property with insufficient upkeep. 

Overall functional if it’s just for a night, but nothing to look forward to

Disappointing stay - old property

We stayed here for one night when the CAB protests were going on in Guwahati.

The rooms are decent, but the service provided by the hotel is poor.  When we inquired about the transport to Airport, they were unable to give any answer.

The service in the restaurant is also pretty slow.

The bathroom exhaust is was not working...contacted management ...was informed it was a problem for the past couple of days...imagine the plight....in due course the room 706...where we stayed on 10th to 11th march 2024...was stinking ...windows cld not b opened ...on informing the housekeeping ...they provided a whiff of room freshner to mask the stench
