The location of this hotel is extraordinary. Staying inside the fort in a beautiful heritage room overlooking the crowds was very special. The breakfast was delicious, the staff were delightful, and the rooms were spotless (and they are 500 years old!) - it was the perfect place to stay in Jaisalmer. Stepping out of the hotel you are right in the middle of everything and yet inside is like an oasis of calm and peacefulness. Bhanu is the perfect host and he was incredibly helpful in meeting us outside the city on arrival, organizing the desert safari - which we highly recommend - giving us advice on places to visit and eat, packing us snacks, and sourcing the best lassi we tasted in India, and generally just being so friendly and kind. It felt like staying with family and we feel so lucky to have had this experience at Killa Bharwan.
