Royal Desert Camp

I was there with my friends was very excellent stay very nice friendly staff👍👍 I would go back again. Also food was very Authentic and testy Nice dinner and very good breakfast👌Weather was also good and last we all enjoyed very good at night dance and drink. And We rent Hokkah that was also good .

This desert camp was altogether a pleasant place.
 It was very basic tents - but they supplied fans and comfortable bed.
The camel riding was SO much fun and the dancing entertainment was enjoyable - only a bit too long. Altogether it was a nice stay.

A Nice Place

We visited in winter time, hot water was problem. They brought us several buckets of  hot water.  Excellent service and delicious food.  Good view of sunset after camel riding in desert.  We appreciated the boss' kindness to arrange sightseeing by his jeep.  He also drove us to the bus terminal which was quite a long way.

Good experience for my family

We were there on 31st Dec, all services are fantastic. food was also very good. but need some improvements. we had problem for electricity. There was no power, so we couldn't charge cameras or mobiles. in morning some issue was with hot water but they managed it. camel ride is also awesome. staff was prompt and supporting.
Those who want to enjoy peacefully, for them hotel is very best.

“Wonderful place...Good experience... ”

Right at the onset I should state that I was booked into Royal Desert Safari Camp (RDS) or maybe it was an annex property by an agent who was apparently upgrading me from another luxury tented camp , and that I had not directly booked with  RDS. I have always been wary of travel agents offering me upgrades, which is just euphuism for “we are putting you up in a shittier place than promised but not giving you any refund!”
And sure enough Royal Desert Safari Camp fit the bill to a T.
I land up at the reception and no one is there to take care of my luggage. The receptionist steps out and just points in the general direction of where your room might be !! Not what I was expecting after doing a 500km drive. (But I’m sure he didn’t know that)
And while I had visions of a modern Arabian nights tent with an AC to boot, my room turned out to be the stables where they kept the donkeys in those Arabian nights fables, but you never hear about!!
It was nothing more than a glorified shack, but it did have an AC I must admit. The bathroom looked liked it did not belong  in any resort, but in some evil vizier’s slave quarters. And the shower did not work- no surprises there.
Food was decent enough. They had one non vegetarian dish (chicken) which they kept on another table far away from rest of the main course as if it had contracted leprosy,,,,,or bird flu. Interesting concept nonetheless.
Breakfast is very basic. You should reach there quite early to get at it before the local birds have a go at the food kept out. They are very eco friendly like that.

In a nutshell, very average place. I guess my experience might have been better if I got to stay in the promised AC tent with a working bathroom than in a concrete claustrophobic room
