City Heart

Me and my wife stayed two nights and booked a two day camel safari at the hotel. The staff consists of two brothers who grew up in local villages and their friends. They made us feel very welcome. There is a rooftop terrace with cozy sitting and a good view of the fort and a haveli. Since the hotel just opened, finishing touches were missing in some places but everything should be done in time for high season. The room was clean and the sheets and towels were brand-new. The older of the brothers has a long experience of organizing camel tours (he was once a camel driver himself). Though it seemed a bit expensive, we booked a tour through him and enjoyed it very much. Our guide, Babu, built fires and cooked three delicious meals per day for us. He also liked singing songs and was an all-around friendly guy. Watching him control and care for the camels was interesting, and the silence of a night in the sand dunes was a nice change. All in all, we recommend this hotel as a great budget-friendly choice with very friendly staff.
