Very welcoming staff, who let us keep our luggages at the GH even after the check-out !
They also gave us good advices about what we could do in Hampi. 
Good location in the city, lot of restaurants nearby, clean rooms. 

Good sized 1st floor room, great terrace overlooking a banana plantation, low key hosts.  Even longer views from the roof.  Cheap rooms in Hampi are generally horrid.  The one I booked in advance at Netra Guest House looked like a filthy hole a terrorist would take you to torture you.  I was so grateful to find Kiran!  As I was staying 5 nights, I was able to negotiate a good rate.  Wifi WORKS (unlike Vicki which SAYS there is wifi in every room, but the only place it works is sitting in the office!)  Checkout is 9AM, which is standard in Hampi, but they will keep your bags there if you want to stay til later in the day.  I highly recommend Kiran if you're traveling on a budget.

Kiran came and collected us from the bus stop . Rooms in his guest house are basic, clean and comfortable .At the time of our visit new beds were being installed. The balcony offers a view over banana plots and the river  and  personal interaction with the languers each morning and afternoon. Its right in Hampi bazaar and 2 minutes from Virapushka temple . Would happily stay here again .

Best budget accommodation on the south (Bazaar) side of the river

Centrally located budget guest house .

Go there !

A rather basic guesthouse but quite reasonable given the low price. Room itself is so-so, WiFi connection is mostly stable, and Kiran himself is very helpful in making sure everything is taken care of whenever I make requests. Lovely family.

Simple but functional

We stayed there with my boyfriend. The worst experience in India we had... We have not met such a rude people before. 
First, when we were walking and looking for a room, they said: hot water, wi fi, etc. We decided to stay there then. After 2 minutes, they came to our room, saying: PAY NOW. 
For wi fi - we had to always ask.

After few hours, when we asked for hot water, we heard ' for this price, no hot water '. We were very shocked, stayed in lots of homestays before but never experienced that rudeness.

Every time we left the room, it was not possible to charge the powerbank as they kept turning the power off.
Very loud kid always crying so if you want something quiet, this is another reaaon not to stay there.

When we checked out, we walked away, and in front of us, they turn tank with hot water .

Would not recommened at all, so many friendly people around, you will get something better for sure (it is not neccessery to book, walk around and find something).

Do NOT STAY THERE!!!!

Worst experience ever! 
Got treated terribly from Kiran's mum. She was so rude, trying every avenue to rip us off and get money out of us where she could. 
Had no curtesy towards us sleeping to the point that at 5am she starts cleaning, sweeping at the door, turning lights on and spitting phlegm outside the door. 
The power and wifi are always turned off, obviously to save money, so every time you need to look up something on the net or even go to the toilet you have to ask for the power to be turned on.
Despite trying to be tolerant of their day rituals and accepting their rules, it was the last straw when upon check out kiran's mum told us that check out was 9am and after that time we were not allowed to use bathroom, toilet or internet facilities even though our train out of there wasn't until 9pm that night. 
Nice way to treat your guests.
Very disappointing. Worst place I ever stayed in!

STAY AWAY!!

Room is dirty and I think it’s no good idea to sleep in the beds. Staff is friendly and WiFi is slow. Next to the hotel there is a good restaurant. No toilet paper available.
Location was ok. Altogether disgusting.
