We visited India in 2012 and booked the Grand Basant. We were very disappointed, the aircon was broken and the ceiling was falling. The Chair in the room was broken, the seal on the bottled water was broken. We were so disgusted with the fact that when walking down the stairs you are exposed to the filth from the hotel and restuarant. We immediately moved out of the Grand Basant and booked at another hotel. Not sure if anything has changed since then

Grand Basant really not Grand

The name of hotel is changed to Regenta.  No one knows The Grand Basant Hotel. Service of the hotel was very slow.  The room lights kept on triping and everytime we have to take out the key and put it again to start the light.
The room was spacious and clean, staff service was average, food was normal but very slow service.  Room AC was good but it was tripping. Lobby was huge and good.  Swimming pool was not working for a day

Average hotel now known as Regenta by Royal Orchid

This was my 4th visit to rishikesh but on our way back we wanted to stay in haridwar but was not finding good and decent hotel for family, then we have taken help of TripAdvisor app and we found this beautiful hotel the grand basant. 
This is a best hotel to stay with ur family, the room are excellent, food here is yummy & location is one of the best that you find in haridwar.the best thing is great price for excellence holidays.

Most Beautiful hotel in haridwar

This was my first time to this part of india, Actually we had made our plan last minute to Haridwar & we were not knowing where to stay for this trip. But thank's to trip advisor and our best friend Tahir that has suggested us this wonderful hotel.
This is a perfect family place where everyone can enjoy their best time of life. The food here is awesome, We cannot tell u how much we loved it, Thank's to chef for their effort. And the reception team is too good at their job. They have given us best room with good view.

Beautiful holiday's, a must stay hotel in haridwar

i have been to haridwar many times with my friends & family but this time it was very different story.  This time trip was last minute planning so we were not having enough of time to book the regular hotel that we stay as it was sold out. Then my friend has recommended The Grand basant hotel to us ( Thanks to tripadvisor app). This hotel is one of kind luxury hotel that we have come across.

Special thank's to reservations team as they have given us a best deal and Reception staff as they help us out to plan many thing's that we were not knowing can be done in Haridwar.
Last but not the least the food at their multi cuisine restaurant is outstanding, Special thank's to chef & f&b team.
we will definitely recommend this hotel to everyone that comes to haridwar.
