Hotel Palbheu

I had a good experience with TripAdvisor and Hotel Palbheu.
Everything was so accessible from the hotel location, even those guys helped me to make my trip wonderful.

They offered clean room, cooperating staff and great view room.

At present staying there. Being writing this sitting on a bench of MGMarg. We opted for lodging only but fooding is also available. The room is good,  bathroom spacious have also a small verandah along with our room. Running hot and cold water available. Though every room was view room earlier.... Construction in back of the building has blocked the view. The food available is tasty as well as reasonable. Both veg and non veg are available. The location is above mg Marg and this is one of the reasons for not to go for it if have elders otherwise it's 2mins up hill from mg Marg. The most important is their service, always they stay on their toes for servicing. It is quick too. They also run travel service and provide cars at very reasonable rate.

It was a great experience staying here because of the location and the hospitality of the hotel management. Rooms are little small but specious with attatch bathroom containing 24hrs hot water. It is a leased property running by two women who are very sweet in behaviour. They are modyfying the hotel with bar and restaurant. Overall very good and the experience is just about 7-8 days before today. We stayed there 20-22nd of march 2016.

Excellent Experience

I had booked the hotel thru agent in Darjling. Blanket was stinking and also there was smell outside the room.  All this was tolerable.  However, I hired the taxi thru Hotel for sight seeing.  The driver misbehaved and even threatened on the way.  He did not knew his number to share.  Also him mobile was not working and instead blamed that my number which I shared with him was wrong.  Went for some personal work leaving us at one of the sites and lied when came back.  While the owner/manager of the hotel Mr. Darpan was talking nicely but was not professional and did not do anything about complaint of his driver.  He promised to meet us before leaving but did not turn up.

Bad behaviour

This is a very dirty hotel by any standard. We have no idea how this hotel has been rated more than half a star. Upon arrival, most of the staff spoke very little English and could not find our booking, after quite some time and a number of phone calls, we were shown to our room. The first thing we noticed was mouse poo on the bed sheets and the room floor had not been vacuumed for quite some time. After using and flushing the on suite toilet, the bathroom flooded with a combination of water and fecal matter. Upon inspection of the toilet, it was evident that this was a known issue as the back of the toilet had been repeatedly patched with plaster and tape to little effect with dried excrement stuck to it. We immediately informed the staff and they relocated us to a new room. The new room also had mouse poo on the sheets. It was late, we were tired so we brushed it way and did our best to ignore it. The on suite bathroom in the new room had also not been cleaned for some time, running the tap caused a brown sludge to run out of the drain hole and remnants of old toothpaste and soap was caked to the sink. We spent one night there and both saw and heard one of the offending mice running around our room. The following morning we had breakfast in the restaurant as it seemed to be the only place open, the breakfast (not included in the price) was comprised of omelette and toast. The toast was cold, stale, and pre-spread with jam which we specifically did not ask for. The cutlery we were handed was wet with remnants of the previous day’s food still stuck to it. The rubbish bin in the restaurant has not been emptied for days or even weeks and it was not only overflowing but had accumulated a pile rubbish of all around it which we had already noticed the previous day already.
Upon checkout, the hotel staff attempted to charge us more than the listed room rate. Fortunately we had a printout of our booking with the price on it to prove our case. Furthermore, they had charged drinks which we had never ordered to our room. After much arguing, we were charged the correct rate and beers we never drank removed from the bill. The place is dirty, disorganized and not fit to accommodate humans at all. Were relieved to leave the place and would not recommend it to anyone.

A substandard, filthy, poorly maintained, unhygienic hotel.

Very ill mannered people each and evry one of the hotel...
No one should visit this hotel even in peak days.....its better to stay in road then to go in this particular hotel.They dnt provide drinking water,pillow,blanket,and even soap.
