Sandy Resort

Excellent food, service is good. Rooms are good for a couple. Always feel they should add a mini fridge in the rooms. But it's a VFM place and staff are very polite and friendly. The family rooms in the old building need to be done up especially the bathroom. It's clean but now looks very old. 

Destination Wedding in Family in Feb and Sandy was the resort. What to say, it came out Perfect. Rooms, Cafe, Food, Garden, everything .... was perfect. During breaks between functions we freaked out in Pool. Overall excellent time spent at the Resort. 👍

The stay was booked at Hotel Sandy Resort. This was near to Devka beach - the other popular beach in Daman. By the time we reached the resort, it was almost dark - 7 PM. The rooms were  quite clean, spacious, food was very good, swift room service and a nice balcony to sit. The resort is not on the beach side, however, any beach resort and this does not make a difference. The Devka beach is more of slushy, rocky and muddy landscape. We had snacks and breakfast at the resort restaurant - they were quite good. We also used the swimming pool and it was nice too.

Awesome Destination for Wedding

We visited this place for a 2 nights stay. The place is located on the main road connecting Daman and has rooms on the top floor above reception as well as a few cottages on the side. The rooms have no ventilation and rely on ACs. The staff is courteous and the service is good. It has a bar and a restaurant. It has a play area for the kids. However, the room conditions and food quality is average. The resort is used mainly for the marriage function for which it has a large lawn and pool party provision. Due to this, the normal guests feel lots of inconveniences.

A Sandy resort without Sand

I stayed in the property with my aged parents and kids. 

The property is a average property, with the only positive thing being it had a good swimming pool. The pool had a separate section for kids.

The staff were courteous and very quick in room service. However the restaurant service was slow and there was no buffet available for breakfast. The food quality was average. 

The rooms were clean, but small, and there was wastage of precious space. 

The property is child friendly, as there was a small garden with slides, swings and see-saw. 

On the whole the property was average, as apart the swimming pool, there was nothing much in the property.

Average property

The resort is located around 2 km from Devka beach, one of the two famous beaches in Daman. The location is nice and the ambience of the place is also impressive. 
BUT there are a few negative points about the place also. 
1. Food is not very great (I tried masala rice in dinner and Grilled Veg Sandwich for breakfast..Very basic stuff). Both of these were way below the mark.
 2. Rooms are also not very well managed. When I checked into the room, there was no water,glasses in the room and no toiletries in the bathroom. 
I am sure you can easily get better deals than this in the same price range ! 
3. Also, this resort has a big  lawn which is booked for weddings/parties etc. There is a common main  entrance for the party lawn and the resort. And the people/guests visiting the lawn have complete access of the entire compound of the resort/passage that leads to the rooms. Since I was travelling alone for work, it was a little uncomfortable to see a group a people gathered outside your room.

Nice location, average facilities

I stayed here for a short overnight trip and was mostly spending time outside the resort therefore here is a list of observations that I managed to note down during the limited time I spent here:-

Things I liked:
>Fast check-in and check-out 
>Rooms are good with optimum use of space available
>Good Furniture and electrical fittings (although hard to figure out which switch operates which light in the room)

Things I did not like:
>Very less parking space. Getting a vehicle out or in can get tricky. Property should have better organized parking lot. 
>Swimming Pool is very small compared to the available area 
>Loud music is played in the common grounds till 10pm. Fortunately sound-proofing on windows was good so we could hear only the thump.
>Kids rides in the garden are rusted 
>Bathroom not maintained. No shower curtains for the bathtub, window broken, no cleaning done for the tiles and bathtub. No toilet paper or other kit provided.
>TV remote was not given. Only the set-top box remote was present. 
>AC was very noisy and did not cool the room

Overall - Sandy Resort tries to pretend like a Class Hotel but in fact is only slightly better than the umpteen budget options available in Daman.

Needs to work on maintaining its Class, poor value for Money

we visited daman on 13/11/18 and booked sandy resort 4 executive rooms for 4 families,food was costly but good,swimming pool was good in good condition,but they do not have any  out door or indoor games room, so they need to think abut it,else is good, they should give complementary breakfast too, which is very common for this kind of resorts.

Recently visited the sandy resort, It was a average stay, Following facilities are missing against the cost they are charging 

- Toiletries are not provided properly
- Only 1lt drinking water is free with room
- There is no kettle provided in the room
- Food quality was not good
- Drunk family making noise at midnight 2:30am
- AC in my room was making terrible noise
