Situated at one of the best locations of Fort Kochi, a 3 minute walk from the beach. Homely environment with the staff being very polite. Complimentary breakfast is served,generally combination of toast and french omlete. Opens early morning around 7 and closes at around 11 at night.I stayed for two nights at a very cheap rate.

I paid 360 rupees per night(from booking.com), and this cozy little B&B didn't disappoint. Yes, the rooms are nothing fancy, the bathroom is pretty basic, you don't get a blanket nor towel (but c'mon if you're a serious traveler you're expected to have those anyway). 

I stayed in the in-between room which has a private bath but no windows that open to outside (wasn't a big deal). The bed was cozy, had a big wardrobe, and the bathroom was pretty big too. I got a chance to check out the other rooms, and if a shared bathroom is not a concern for you then definitely ask for the front room which has got a balcony. Lilly Street is really cute and quiet. 

The staff were friendly, breakfast (omelette, toast with butter, and tea) is good but can get boring after a couple of days but still, the fact that they're including that at all is a big pat on the back. 

WiFi - a bit unreliable when I was there, your experience may vary. But it is indeed there though I can't really tell if it reaches all the way to the back room. 

Here's the biggest pro: LOCATION! Every place of interest in Fort Kochi can be visited on foot. Heck, I've even walked till Mattancherry which is about a 30 min walk. 

CONS: There's not really much to complain for the price, though I did wish my room was a bit more sound proof.

The rooms are cheap so you can't expect the ritz. It was good enough for a basic room. You get a free breakfast and it has a good location. The reason I gave it a four was because they staff were so friendly and helpful. Only negative is that the room was a bit old.

One of the cheapest Homestays

Best for solo travelers on budget!

Good value for money. 

Good side - it was really cheap. 
Bad... Gods, this was a terrible stay. First of all, room we got had no windows to the outside. Secondly, screens against mosquitoes were not holding so every night was a struggle against them. Then there was staff, trying to be helpful but the guy was like an elephant in church bells factory - he was noisy all the time. Loud phone conversations. Throwing plates. Talking loudly on a corridor at 2AM. 5AM. 7AM. We couldn't get a decent sleep at all. 
Lastly, our breakfast. I didn't expect luxury for such a price but a sad toast, with a very sad omelette, miserable amount of butter on the side with a pot of cheap tea and nothing more was a bit... Well. Ridiculous. 
We changed the place after two nights. Too much stress and a waste of money, I would not recommend it to anyone, even to people with tight budget. Better to spend few rupees more and have decent comfort and good night sleep.
