Guddadamane Homestay

This place gives us sense of calmness and serenity . I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here . The staff and host are very polite and friendly. Quality and quantity of the food is really good . Rooms are clean, cozy and spacious. I would love to visit this property again .

Our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. We were a group of friends booked the cottage which was comfortable. The rooms are basic but clean. We spent most of our time outdoors in the plantation. Food is basic but it’s homemade and tasty. The property is about 40 mins from Chikmagalur town. If you plan on spending quality time this is the place.

I recently stayed at Guddadamane homestay with my family in Chikmagalur, Karnataka. The homestay was located in a beautiful coffee plantation, and it was a great experience for all of us.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff was very courteous and welcoming. We especially enjoyed the home-cooked food, which was delicious and fresh. The hosts were also very knowledgeable about the area and were happy to give us recommendations for things to do and see.

Overall, we had a wonderful stay at the homestay. It was a great way to experience the local culture and way of life, and we would definitely recommend it to others.

This homestay is very  good I liked it because it is very relaxing place fresh air....and very peaceful if anyone is planning to go and relax and enjoying the nature in chikmaglore...my recommendation is plz visit this place you will enjoy a lot ... their food is very good ....I liked and I enjoyed so much...Thank you !

Located about 45 min from the center, is a good  place for relaxing on a weekend. Jio network, wifi is available. Great hospitality by Mr. Ravi the caretaker. Food was delicious. Hot water available 24/7. Definitely recommended.

It was very good the place was good too and all the people there were very kind and sweet, the view is also very good you,ll feel like you,re in the middle of the jungle the food is also very tasty and yah the last thing is they have their own coffee estate

Place is very calm and good. Food is really excellent. Place is surrounded by coffee plantation which gives good ambiance.

We had a pleasant stay at Guddadamane Homestay. We were a group of friends traveling for relaxation. It was indeed a pleasant stay. Sam was of great help and a good host. He was not there on day 2 but his staff Keshava made sure everything was looked after well. The sound of crickets and birds gives you a feel that you are in the forest. Food was homely and minimal. Thank you for the stay.

We enjoyed our stay at guddadamane homestay with our family. The food served was basic home cooked meals which was very good. Quick service for a homestay. The property is in the middle of a coffee plantation. Clean and fresh air. Expect crawlers and insects.

A very decent stay in 100 years property homes which remind me my grand parents house in village. Good staff which keep on asking for any thing you need. Positive part is owner stay in same property. Most good part is home made tasty food available.

Nice property in the coffee estate

We stayed for 2 nights at this homestay. We had an amazing experience at the property. The property is really very charming and serene. Our room overlooked the coffee plantations and it was very peaceful. Mr. Samanvit (owner) is a super host and makes sure that all his guests are comfortable. We had a last minute request for lunch for 10 folks and he made sure we all were well looked after and well fed too. The food is just yummmmm…. Mr. Ravi (care-taker) is a one man army. He looks after the guests and goes out of his way to make sure that the guests are comfortable. Amazing stay, much recommended!

Loved it!

Sam & his family plus Ravi and Keshav took very good care of us over 3 nights we stayed there. This is a very family friendly place with excellent food. 

The drive to Guddadamane is very beautiful and Sam is very helpful with everything. He takes lot of effort to make sure that everything is well taken care of. 

This is set in the middle of a plantation. So you must expect and be open to having wildlife around you including small insects, snails, mongoose, frogs etc - they are all harmless. It is also an old mansion - so if you are comfortable with the traditional south indian ways of living this place will be ideal for you. Food is North Karnataka style. 

Hot water, towels, beds, coffee/tea/milk were all good. Had good bonfires in the evening too.

Note that this is NOT a resort or a hotel - so don't expect it to be a Club Mahindra types. It's a HOME stay. So you need to pack up appropriately and expect things to work as in a home in the middle of a lush green plantation. If in doubt, ask Sam - he was very prompt with answers.

Excellent homestay for family groups

The place is close to Aldur town and easily accessible by road.
The property is over 100 years old but well maintained and the staff and family were very nice people. They have 3 lovely dogs. The food was good. They had great consideration for the veggies too.
The breakfast was great and I could go back just for it.
I would gladly visit again.

I had a nice stay. The staff were humble and helpful, food was good, and it was very economical. The property's location is excellent, making it convenient for exploring. Overall, it was a pleasant experience worth recommending. Malnad chicken was best
