Visited in the last week of December. The place is done up really well for a service apartment, but not in good shape due to shoddy maintenance. The manager Zaffir is really friendly and helpfull. Right from the booking to the checkout he took good care of us, and also attended to small issues we complained about.
As reported in the earlier reviews the mattress are on the hard side. They provide good breakfast from a reputed vegetarian hotel. The toilets need to be renovated in some rooms.
Being located on sterling road near the famous loyola college is a great plus point as getting to any place in chennai becomes easy.
The linen also needs to be taken care of. They need to get some professional guys to take care of the maintenance.
Overall for the price it is a good B&B in chennai.

Great Location, In need of maintenance.

It happend for me to stay here sum weeks ago. The ambience was cool nd comfort. Service was ok though no complimentery breakfast provided. Mr. Sunder and manager both provided a warm support. Had kind of better undisturbed stay. Again i returned after 10 days now, but things changed. No proper reception, worst maintenance, electricity often gone, no room service, neccessory amenities unavailable, even bed sheets nd towels were not provided. Made me keep on changing the rooms which made me feel bad. But still i would like to stay here if things get well soon for long time....

A better place to stay but need proper service n maintenance.

happened to be at this place for a night during the latest road show we did in India, however the place is a n extreme budget place,,, needs lots of improvement... starting from the entrance.. rooms are not that bad but the mattresses are too hard.. it was like sleeping on a rock :) luckily we spent most of our time out and came for few hour just to get freshen up... :)

This place is virtually run by three indisciplined Nepali guys . I do not know if they are illegal migrants . They refuse to work unless you give them hefty tips on a regular basis . The bathroom is not cleaned everyday contrary to what the ad said .the air con was not working for over a week . The sheets are not changed everyday . the clothes i had given for laundry were missing . after i threatened to deduct the cost of them from the room rent they brought them to my room .The manager of this place is a lazy lout . He sleeps till 11 am . He is hand in gloves with the Nepali guys .the only
plus point is the location . This place does not deserve even RS 1000 per day . I paid double. They over charged me for many things . I was unwell . The staff took full advantage of this . I do not think the owner is interested in the day to day running of this place .
