Hotel Blue Diamond

The room was spotless and the service stellar. There is hot water in the shower about midnight. The attached restaurant is also good with good vegetarian options. The money exchange is also honest and the highest exchange rate given.

We went to the Mississippi bar located first floor in the hotel along with friends.
Reasonable price for liquor and good veg snacks on complimentary basis. Especially rasam vada was fantastic, and also more than 5 different types of snacks they served like boiled peanut, karachowand cut fruits etc.
Good atmosphere

This Hotel is just 10 minutes drive from the railway station and is located on the main road itself which you can never miss. The rooms are very spacious and well maintained. The staff are friendly and courteous and look after you well. The food in the restaurant is not great, but OK. Purasawakkam is nearby where you can do your shopping. Nice place to stay.

It is very good hotel with courteous service done with old charm. Rooms are king size which are rare nowadays. Their size if room can easily be bifurcated into two and sold  as two rooms in chennai. So far so good. But now the minuses. First the king size bathrooms do not have ventilation. The bath fittings are very old and rickety. The bathrooms smell bad. Next is the restaurant which is tasty serves only non veg or atleast it is their speciality. No dosa only mutton biriyani.
But anyways the hotel is good

This is a small hotel.  It is old.  It does have air conditioning and it is reasonably quiet.  However it smells of mildew.  It has a cafe that is very great on service and excellent food for cheap prices.
