The price of this hotel and the reviews one reads, makes one believe that its a budget hotel. When you think of budget hotel, you think good basics without frills. You don't think shabby. For the price they charge, this facility is actually shabby. The main positives of this hotel are its location -- close to Anna Salai and courteous and helpful staff. They have functioning AC and wifi. The positives end there. The rooms are of poor quality. They are not as clean as they are made out to be in other reviews. The sheets in my room didn't look like they were changed. The bathroom is pathetic. The water pressure out of the shower is same as that of water saving faucet. Can't shower with that. Basically, you have to use the bucket and mug. The bathroom has a distinct cheap look and design. Mind you this was not constructed to be a hotel. Basically a multi-storied building with several rooms which was converted into a "residency". The "included breakfast" will be available close to 9 AM. Normally you expect BnB facilities to have it ready much earlier. Don't get taken in by the photos which show a row of utensils in the dining area. Basically all of them are empty save three: one contains idlies, the other two contain sambar/chutney. You will be served a couple of dosas as well. You could say its "budget breakfast". If I could sum up this hotel in one word. It would be "Jugaad". Please look up the word if you don't know its meaning and want to understand my review. I wouldn't mind this place, if they charge half of what they charge per night.

I saw tripadvisor reviews and thought it would be nice. But it is very poor decision by me. Accomudation is not so good. AC was not working well, TV is a old one 1990s.
AC was leaking with water. There is no card reader working and I paid cash by getting it from the ATM.I would suggest not to select this for any stay. Better to avoid.

Better to avoid.

The hotel is located on a quite street away from the hustle of the city - a little tricky to find if you do not know the place. The room was well maintained and clean. Complementary breakfast was good. Wifi provided was of good speed. We had some problem with the AC in our room. Please check before you check-in. Otherwise it was a comfortable budget stay.

Good place to stay

Hotel is located at the end of North Usman road at Kanniah street, next to Junior Kuppanna restaurant. Rooms have a balcony, are small, well air-conditioned, old type tv with satellite channels & functional bathroom with hot/cold water facility. Hotel could not provide clean linen; reason being rain. Old torn bedsheets were privided. Sofas provided were old with torn upholstery. 

Hotel has an in-house cafeteria but limited items are available even though many are listed in the menu card. Complimentary Buffet breakfast spread is good but chaos prevails in the dining hall created by the workers. Fairly clean premises.
Famous shops for Kancheevaram silk sarees (Nallis, Sundari, RMKV, Kumaran, SM), shopping centres like Pothis, Chennai Shopping, Saravanas, gold shops like GRT, NAC, Lalitha, etc are all at walkable distance only. Eating options are plenty.
Management has to pay more attention to maintenance of the property. 

Well located VFM hotel

We were guests here booked for a marriage. Loved the place very much. Very homely. Residential area. Very quiet all day. Friendly staff. Clean and neat rooms, beds, linens. Simple very clean toilets. Very tasty south indian complimentary bfast included. We even tried their simple basic thali. it was surprisingly excellent. Junior Kuppanna restaurant is located very next door. Residential area is good for morning and evening walks. Overall i loved this place. Will come bak for sure.
