excellant service and good feeling ,breakfast,lunch  and dinner was delicious .staff is very cooperative and everytime care you...so thanks to sanakar upvan for stayed 2 days..i will go to next time same hotel stay ....

Its purely a residential wedding or a group stay place for people who are visiting for a wedding. I happen to see some them stayed there as FIT which must have been a nightmare especially if there is a group occupying the large part of the hotel. 

The place is bang on the main road but likely to miss it as there is a lawn and driveway in front which is only used for wedding functions, usually vehicles are not allowed from the gate but the one which is 100 meters ahead, one needs to take a left. So if you are with luggage don't forget to take the left unless you want to walk with the heavy bags thru the lawns.

The reception is basic and they have traditional keys to the rooms. The rooms are equally basic, read bare, with not much of decor. Plain walls with A/C, Bed, basic dressing table and equally basic bath room. Oh ours had a big window and with no curtain or anything. so in the evening when you are using it with lights on someone on the higher floor/terrace could have a good sighting.

The rooms were devoid any towels and we literally had to beg for it multiple time and were distributed as it was some rare commodity. We were there for two nights and they never got replenished or replaced. The sole wardrobe was dusty with hardly any hangers and of course there was no Electronic safe. Funny its a hotel for weddings and no safe!!

The restaurant at the ground floor we hardly used as we were part of a marriage group we had separate meals at the area next to it. We had the whole venue to us as it was large group. The meals/food was decent, the one served for wedding was much better than the ones served on daily basis. 

There is not much choice close by unless you plan to hire a cab or local transport to move around. Close by were local dhaba's and small eating joints. The only known name was the DMart store across the street where one could pick up packed snacks, chocolates and other basics which were missing in the rooms.

If you are part of the wedding group then you have no choice but as an FIT please don't ever book this place as its not designed for it.

Marriage Venue

Booked this Hotel cum Marriage hall in the month of Aug '17 thru  make mytrip  and paid full amount for two night stay during the first week of Dec'17 as we had to attend a marriage of a close friend .When we reached this place there was a lock at main gate at 7.45 am . After lots of efforts  gate was opened and there was no one at the reception by 8.00 am.Anyways some one came and we asked for our booking , the guy refused for any booking as the Hotel was booked for marriage. After lots of arguments guy said that they broke their tie up with Makemytrip and there is no booking. When we showed our booking slip and said that we called this Hotel on 7.12.17 morning regarding the booking and the person confirmed our booking then  he said he will do some thing to a room.By this time we were fed up and  got to know this Hotel is not good. Since we are familiar with Bhopal we got a good room in Hotel Western on Kolar Road. Neither Makemaytrip nor this  Hotel informed us that their tie up  as over. It was a very very bad  experience in this Hotel.

Very mismanaged Hotel Sanskar Upwan at Kolar Road Bhopal

This Hotel is basically famous for marriages which has a big lawn for parties and they also have a restaurant with the name Satwik. Rooms are clean and services are oK. Restaurant food is not upto the mark. In my opinion prices for stay are pretty higher accorfing to their services, stay quality and location.

Stay is good, restaurant is not

I have been into this place for attending my relative marriage function. Stay was peaceful as the rooms are pretty decent. 

Banquet hall was good enough for a marriage function, food was decent. Property was slightly away from city, but convenient for such functions.
