The Chevron Hotel

The room was spacious unlike other hotels where it's cramped, clean, good good and professional staff. Had a nice time staying here. Highly recommended.

I had booked for 4 nights and later extended for 3 more nights. Initially I had issues like room was not cleaned properly, washroom was not as expected, had stains on bed sheets. On second day,  Manager Suguna asked us of everything is fine and I shared all above feedback.  She ensured we shall have a comfortable stay.  She gave us option to change the room which we agreed to.  Another room assigned for us was cleaned properly and nice duvet,  linen,  and washroom. I had decided to stay only for 2 nights however changed my decision to stay further.

hotel is good, rooms are spacious but bathroom are old and worn out ceilings. good veg restaurant and lovely veg food. breakfast is all veg but good for south india breakfast lovers. room service is good and they serve non veg only in the room service. 

My husband and I checked in at 5 am and were welcomed warmly and immediately given a clean room.  The room has complimentary water but no tea and coffee kettle.  The bathroom is clean and hot water is available in the morning and warm in the evening.  The staff is extremely courteous and service was excellent.  
The hotel has a restaurant that serves a buffet meal for breakfast lunch and dinner.
We had taken a bed and breakfast plan, so breakfast was complimentary and the spread was huge.  It is purely vegetarian - we were spoiled for choices.  All south indian and extremely tasty.  Dosa, utappa, idlis, upma, fresh fruit, sheera, cornflakes and more.  hot tea and coffee and fruit juice.
We also had the lunch buffet which was priced at just 375 including taxes and it was really very good.  Huge spread including a live chaat counter and fresh ice cream.
A very positive experience.

Great especially the outside man called Carlton.Rooms a little old ,but pleasant all round.Dont get a room facing Infantry Rd. -----  too noisy with the canstant horn beeping of the trafic

For bachelor's it is fine if the bathroom were good.
For families a big NO.
The bathroom were the worst I have seen. With a broken ceiling here and there. Then as mentioned in the reviews delayed room service. But the employers were polite.
To be mentioned is their delicious food.but timings are late 8am is the breakfast starting time. And 8pm is the dinner starting time.
Overall an ok decent stay if they can do something with the bathrooms.

Not for Families. A BIG No

If you need to be anywhere in this locality at a reasonable rate then this property seems to be attractive.The location is just around the corner to the Raj Bhavan being on the infantry road. Rooms are modest with central air conditioning. House keeping and room service was of help though the room service tariff were expensive to the facility.Bathrooms are not maintained properly and hot water supply was erratic.   Breakfast was just sufficient but with limited choice.My need was to find a space in this location and it worked out fine with sufficient parking space.

Booked for 5000 for 3 days , center of city , everything is within reach.
Overall great experience 
Toilet walls were leaking but although comfortable zone.

Reception staff is good but the other lower staff don’t treat you well.
Room key malfunction multiple time.

Budget friendly

The staff seems to be not trained at all and appears as if they are no where connected to hospitality industry. No towel and soap in the washroom. AC was not working. The worst part was that there was no drinking water and glass available in the room. I had to call up every time to ask for basic things. However, even after complaining multiple times over the phone and even after personally going down to the reception to complain, they did not bother to do anything about the AC. Everytime they said that it would start working in 10 minutes. The nightmare doesn't end here. Woke up early in the morning to no electricity. Reason given by the staff - Maintenance work. No backup or information given before doing maintenance. Guests were left to suffer and suffocate in the rooms. Horrible experience. My suggestion - If you are a wise spender, look for some other option. Don't waste your money on this one.
