Hotel Indus

We arrived at Amritsar the day before the Parkash Parab, which led to difficulty in reaching the hotel. Staff helped us at every step, starting with dealing with a recalcitrant taxi-cab driver, to helping us with our luggage and even the less mobile among us across jam-packed streets. The rooms are well furnished and clean, the washrooms are, too. Rooms are centrally air-conditioned and hot water is available round the clock. The greatest advantage of the property is its location just outside the Golden Temple complex and takes you all of three minutes to reach the inner courtyard. Positives: Location, cleanliness, very helpful staff. On the downside: Small rooms, all rooms don't have view, no kitchen or dining room — food is brought to you from outside, so it takes a long time to reach.
