We recently visited the Kumaon Belt in Uttarakhand this Puja vacation. We visited Ranikhet, Kaushani, Munsiari, Choukori, Binsar, Almora and Nainital. Our shortest but most beautiful stay was at the Kausani Best Inn.Our driver Dayal Goswami's approachability and guiding role was one of the highlights of our entire tour with its spectacular Himalayan views and natural beauty. We had a fantastic stay at the hotel. Magnificent views of Himalayan range. Sunrise from the room, amicable staff. 
They could arrange for camp fire on request. Food is decent. 

Only con - room should have an electric kettle and tea coffee sachet. 

A very beautiful experience. Could not see the himalayan range .. Sept -oct is the ideal time to visit if you want to have a wonderful view of the Himalayas . Rooms were spacious and clean, staff was very good and hospitable. Food was very good.  The manager of the hotelwas very courteous and  provided lots of interesting information about the place and environment in general. We wanted to stay longer. Will come back soon. 

I stayed here for 2 nights with Family, best hotel in terms of Himalaya view and sun rise view. Food is great and service is superb.

Always wanted to stay in a place where I can see the top Himalatan peaks from my bed. This place fullfilled my dream. 180 degree view of himalaya covering more than 20 top peaks like trishul, nanda devi.

Hotel manager Pawan ji is an awesome person. Very knowledgeable, polite. Other staffs are good too. Prakash is very polite, soft spoken and you will always see him smilling. When we were checking out, they gifted us a basket full of fresh garden fruits for our onward journey. Felt like a family.

Room service is very good. Food is good here and served on time. Evenings are awesome under the stars with bonnfire, snacks and drinks.

My son loved this place. Plenty of space for kids to play. My son wanted to play with his toys and the floor was very cold. So, Pawan ji arranged a bedroll so that he can play under the sun. Rooms and washrooms are very spacious, clean and comfortable. 

We stayed here for 3 nights and never felt we need to go out for sightseeing because the property location and the views from bedroom and lawns are sufficient for a pleasant stay. 

Must visit for people who loves to stay away from crowded places.

We stayed at the property for a week starting November 6th and had the most awesome and memorable time. The property is situated away from the din of the marketplace and sits right across the majestic view of snowcapped Himalayan peaks. The room we stayed in was on the top floor with window and balcony both overlooking the mighty Himalayan ranges. The room and the bathroom was clean and we had access to broadband internet too that helped our daugher to get on with her classes without interruption. Adding to the awesome views and weather was the amazingly hospitable staff and simple yet homely delicious food prepared in their kitchen which we enjoyed to the hilt. We so wanted to extend our stay but could not due to festivities back home and were at a loss of words to thank the staff while leaving. The property is highly recommended for views, delicious food, reasonable rates, and their ever so hospitable and humble staff who are focused on making your stay as comfortable and as memorable as possible. Pawan, the hotel sales manager helped us a great deal on figuring out local places to visit and the timings and even arranged a guide for us to trek to Rudradhari and Pinaak Mahadev. Overall a great experience and can't wait to come back here.

We visited Kausani in February.  This is a great time to see the panoramic Himalayan mountains. Our room was spacious and clean. The manager was always there to help when needed. Our room service was efficient and the food was good value and delicious.The position on the ridge is perfect,view of the mountains from our bed. Walking distance to town and forest walks.

As soon as the car stopped outside the hotel, I rushed to see the snow capped mountains!
The balcony and the seating area was so beautiful, as soon as we entered, we saw the view and became breathless, after which we started with our lunch and believe me, everything about this hotel is amazing. 
The rooms were spacious and beautiful, food be it veg or non veg it was equally great.
And the staff was so humble and kind, special thanks to Pawan and Deepak bhaiya for making our trip so easy and beautiful.

Must to stay at Kausani. It is located at best location of Kausani from where great Himalayan peaks can be easily seen from the balcony as well as the rooms. We tried local Kumaon food which was tasty. Staff was very friendly which helped us to identify the peaks and understand the local geography. 

Kausani is best known for its panoramic view of the great Himalayan peaks spread across India to Nepal. The best place to witness this truth is Kausani Best Inn. There are many "BEST"s hidden in this name. The best thing to do at this place is doing nothing, and simply experiencing the beauty of nature. The location is perfect as it is bit far from the hustle and bustle of the town center. You will always be accompanied by the cacophony of the chirping birds and chorus of the passing by winds through the pines and oaks. You just have to choose your place, pull the chair, sit back comfortably and enjoy the entire view from valley to top of the peaks in one frame. You can witness the different colors of the Himalayan peaks from dawn to dusk with changing angles of the sun rays. Do not miss out the glittering diamond spread view of the Bageshwar valley at night. The hotel has an excellent accommodation facility with all mountain-view rooms along with attached bathrooms. Both room and bathroom are maintained very well and are in good condition. I don't have enough words to explain the hospitality of the hotel staff as I felt I am at my own home. Pawan and his team will take care of all your needs from pin to pentagon. They will make sure to make your stay comfortable and memorable. Ustad ji is always there to take care of your belly with mouth-watering North-Indian delicacies. If you are lucky enough to get a clear sky during your stay, you might love to walk down the hill and be a star-gazer in the evening. The Star Gate Observatory is very near to the hotel and you can have a memorable experience of star watching through the telescope. 

On the whole it’s a perfect destination for all. The perfect blend of solidarity, hospitality and exotic view will make your mind fresh and your heart full of life. If you are a nature and mountain lover, Kausani Best Inn is undoubtedly one the best hotels in India for you to spend a vacation with your friends, family and near ones.

Kausani Best Inn is a very average hotel near Kendriya Vidyalaya, Kausani. It is very easily accessible, and GPS coordinates are accurate. The hotel has similar category of rooms that offer bare minimum features.
 
Pros:
1. Excellent location, well connected. 
2. Anasakti Ashram is walking distance, Kausani tea estate is a 15 min drive. 
3. Adequate and safe street side parking. 
4. Untrained but extremely hardworking staff who are more than willing to take care of guests. With a smile. 
5. The view of the Kumaon Himalayas from the hotel is absolutely stunning. Irrespective of the floor you are in. 

Cons:
1. The rooms are very bare. There is a damp musty smell. Linen is clean, however. 
2. For the price point, atleast an electric kettle was expected. It wasn't available in room. The staff offers hot water on request. 
3. The menu is limited. Taste is between good and average. Same rating for quantity.
4. Your quality of sleep will depend on your neighbors. On our second night, the room next was occupied by two very loud men who were drinking and talking very loudly late into the night. Privacy can be an issue. 

Conclusion: Average hotel, great location. Location is commensurate to price point, facilities in the hotel are not. There is definite room for improvement. Very good staff on duty.

Amazing hotel and the best location with GREAT FOOD!

We stayed here for a night halt on our way to Munsiyari. 

Booked this place beforehand due to good reviews. However, on reaching found that it was probably overrated due to the view this place offers. Due to bad weather, we couldn't enjoy the views.

Rooms are quite spacious but needs more maintenance. They offer good quality food. One can also try local kumaoni delicacies.

This was the latest of our many stays at Kausani Best Inn and, as always, it was the location combined with simplicity of experience that made us go there.
Food was no frills but delicious. Service absolutely prompt and courteous. They have added 5 more rooms to there earlier 8 rooms and, amazingly, each and every room offers that wonderful view of the Himalayan ranges. 
On the first morning we could get a good view  of Trishul in the morning and also a glimpse of Nanda Devi.
All in all, highly recommended hotel.
