We were very comfortable staying here! The view across the street was stunning! Beds were comfortable and kitchen had everything we needed. It was easy to find and convenient self check in. It was very hot when we got there first night was rough sleeping even with windows open but we figured out how to control the heat, you have to turn the white nobs on the bottom of the radiators, just FYI for those that come from a place that dosen’t use those types of heater. Other than that we wish we stayed longer! Definitely recommend staying!

This was the best place we stayed during our time in Iceland. I wish I had stayed longer. I highly recommend this place.

I wish there were more properties like this around Iceland!  Clean, functional and confortable.  Great value for money. Perfect for touring.

Nice spot for a stay near the Golden Circle, apartment is well furnished, comfortable, offers ever6ing you need.

Our room was stacked with conveniences including stove top, microwave, toaster, crockery and cutlery. All very welcome and unusual for Iceland. The only negatives were low water pressure in the shower and the distance to the nearest supermarket (13kms). I would recommend South Central for a short extended stay.

Stayed 2 nights lovely apartment,  lots of room and a great view . Couldn't master the induction hob but managed with the microwave and toaster. I Could've asked for instructions but it wasnt really a problem.  They sent a code for the door the day before our stay by email.

Really nice, modern and spaceous Apartment. Easy Check in and well equipt.

A relatively new accommodation in very good condition that is well furnished. We had a comfortable stay but note it is quite far from Selfoss town.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel.  It's not fancy but was conveniently located, well stocked and clean.  My wife and I really enjoyed the horse farm across the way.

The location is great, only issue is the hot tubs nearby aren't free or currently working. They have a small tub by the pool, but we opted not to bother. In another hotel we stayed in after this one, the pool was free for folks staying nearby. Other guests were quiet and it was peaceful.The blinds could be better as well. I'd return here though.

Two nights

This is a great family overnight stop after visiting the golden circle. The apartment was clean and spacious, as was the bathroom. There were plenty of towels and facecloths and a well equipped little kitchenette. The beds were comfortable and instructions for check in/out and bins were clear. My daughter left a jacket behind and Ragnhildur went to a lot of trouble to get it back to us - getting it as far as Reykjavik so that we did not have to return and take time out of our trip. I would definitely recommend this family run place

Everything you need

This was the perfect location for me. It's off the highway but after spending a whole day exploring Iceland this was right where I needed it to be.  It's not close to a gas station that I know of or grocery store but I managed to pick all that up before I left.  I walked in and the place smelled like it was nearly renovated or something.  It was great!  I loved walking out the door in the morning and seeing that view of the mountains.

Serviced apartment on convenient route near Golden Circle area. Within 1 hour to major sights including Kerid Crater, Thingvellir, Geysir, and Gullfoss. Nice view of the countryside, but far from any restaurants or stores  (20+ min) so plan ahead before you return for the night. 

Apartment itself was recently renovated and felt very new. Kitchen had refrigerator and everything we needed to make our own breakfast. You are texted a code to the door ahead of time which felt a bit sketchy, but very simple upon arrival. Each unit has its own door with a key pad. Towels were replaced during the day. 

South Central Apartments was our favorite accommodation (and largest, only one with fridge) out of several across Southern Iceland (including 2-3 star hotels).

Clean, modern, and large room - everything we needed for Golden Circle

As a family of 4, we decided to book one of the apartments located a few km from South Central Apartments Hotel and it did not disappoint. 

It turned to be the perfect stay for our trip around the Golden Circle. We enjoyed it so much, that we ended up extending our stay for another night. The calm environment, the staff, and of course the HOT TUBE made us feel like at home during the windy and dark February afternoons. 

All in all, a place to recommend and come back to enjoy the northern lights and the Icelandic nature at a very affordable price.

Lovely stay, absolutely recommended

Nice apartment. Comfortable beds. Adequate kitchen. It was hard to find initially but we arrived at night and it is in the middle of nowhere. But the middle of nowhere is gorgeous and that is typical of Iceland away from Reykjavik. The manager was very accommodating and checked in with us the day after we arrived.

Our children where sick during the 3 days we stayed at this accommodation. One of them even puked on the door step when we arrived. The owners where very understanding and even cleaned it up for us, later also washed our clothes for a small fee. Since we couldn’t go out much we spend a lot of time in the apartment which was not punishment at all. The kitchen is well equipped and there are even small amounts of coffee, thee, milk/sugar which we found great since you don't need to buy bigger packs of it which you will in the end mostly need to throw in the waste if it doesn’t fit in your suitcase. Environmental friendly!The view from the dining table is great.Comfy beds!They are expanding the building to double the amount of apartments. Even though we had the first room directly connected with the new apartments the construction works didn’t disturb at all.For shopping you need to drive ~20 minutes to Selfoss but there is a swimmingpool directly behind the apartments you can use for 1000 isk. Out of the season the opening hours are limited though.The only thing that could maybe be fixed or at least taken into account for the apartments being build is that the floor is very noisy when walked on. This was noticeable for us in particular since we had to move around with the children sleeping.While checking out, the lady that came to the apartments every day to clean up and check if all is ok, came to ask how our children are. Thank you!

This was a cute apartment, perfectly adequate for our family of 4. Kids loved the bunk beds. They had good blackout shades. The location is convenient for a stay after the Golden Circle. However, there is not much nearby. We drove about 10 min to the local grocery store to cook dinner. Restaurants are about 10-20 min away. But it was the best deal - great for a quick stop. It's very convenient - you receive an email about the room number and access code.
