Truly the best hostel I’ve stayed in and we’ve stayed in hostels around the world. The family operating it are beautiful and very hospitable and have added nice homey touches to make the place very comfortable and everything was immaculate. Old people shouldn’t stay at hostels as they don’t know what they’re doing and one old man almost took our food from the refrigerator. Fortunately his wife caught him and stopped him. It was rather pathetic that he just felt he could help himself to whatever was there. They ended up eating a cup of cereal someone had left. (The hostel was not serving breakfast (unless prearrangement was made as we did and then they brought us a tub with our name with lovely fruit, yogurt, bread, homemade jam, cheese, etc.) due to Covid). I’m sure this was explained to the older couple upon checking in as it was explained to us. Located right on the beach with a spectacular view, has a full kitchen (with microwave & dishwasher) and plenty of bathrooms and showers. They offer tea and coffee to guests 24 hours a day. We love making a home cooked meal while traveling so the kitchen is definitely a plus for us. There is also a refrigerator for guests to use. There is a washer and dryer available for a reasonable fee. The liquor store is right downstairs and there’s a restaurant that offers pizza, hamburgers and hot dogs right across the street. There is a convenience store/gas station right across the street that also has a car wash (in case your rental car ended up as filthy as ours did! Lol) There are comfortable seating areas throughout and they offer some board and card games for guests also. I give them a 5 out of 5 and would give them higher if I could. I highly recommend as we didn’t want to leave! I’d love to go back for a week! Exceptional and very clean.
