This is a charming, well appointed, super comfy guesthouse right in town with a beautiful view of the harbor.  Everything in the place was well thought out; linens, blackout shades, tea kettle and more.  I would highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Seydisfjordur.

We had a beautiful, cozy room with balcony on the 1st floor with a view of the fjord. Very good beds and high quality products in the bathroom. From the balcony we could watch seals and birds. Viewing the waterfall from the bed. Waking up with the morning sun was fantastic.
Parking was no problem either. Small parking lot opposite the house.
Good restaurants just 2 houses away.
The supermarket is also close by. It was the best stay during our trip.

Maggy the host was phenomenal. Was so easy to get a hold of and went above and beyond to make sure our day was great for us.

Vid Loni’s Guesthouse was our favorite stay while in Iceland. The room was very clean and neat. The view was spectacular, and the area is great. The owner was incredibly friendly and responsive. We will absolutely stay here again in the future.

Very easy check in and great service. Wonderful guesthouse. Built in 1903 so neat to be staying at such a well maintained heritage place.

Of all the places we stayed in Iceland while traveling the Ring Road Við Lónið was my favorite. The location was perfect, the room was beautiful and comfortable, and the hosts were very responsive. I can’t wait to go back!

Perfect location right on the fjord

We had a lovely stay at Vid Lonid. The absolute cutest (and clean) guesthouse in a picturesque town. Warning in advance that the restaurants were all closed when we arrived (for the winter?) so check with the owner to make sure there is food in town before you arrive. The Guesthouse owner was a total gem however and brought us delicious pizza so we did not go hungry :)

Lovely Stay at a Picturesque Town

This is a very nice room in a very central location.  The check in is essentially grabbing an envelope from the lobby, you don't interact with anyone.  Our room has a great view of the harbor.  There is no breakfast.  We drove (in summer) to the Filling Station and got a very tasty, affordable (for Iceland) breakfast.  The room is very clean, a good size, strong internet and good water pressure.

The hotel and the location are amazing, walking distance to everything. Great views of the mountains and the whole town. Only problem we had was getting a place to have breakfast, the hotel recommends Hotel Aldan but we showed up at 8 in the morning and they did not have breakfast available (there was a group that was having breakfast) but they told us that they didn't have for the 2 of us. Only coffee was available?! Other than that a great stay, but be aware of maybe packing your own food in case there is no availability in town.

Great hotel, plan for food in advance

I like pretty much everything! The property is very well kept, fantastic considering the building is over 100 years old, and the room was AMAZING! Understand it wasn't terribly large but since I travel solo, it was perfect. Instructions were left in the lobby along with my key. The location is ideal, right at the end of the highway and within a few steps of ships and restaurants, and the lagoon was right there too. I loved every minute of my time there!

This was one of our favorite places to stay during our adventure around Iceland! Super cute cozy guesthouse was clean and provided easy free parking and check-in. Perfect location within walking distance to site seeing, tasty food options, store, and beautiful views all around. Honestly such a charming quiet town that left a last impression on us and would love to stay again!

Very easy check-in process. Host is an excellent communicator. Small refrigerator in room, plus coffee machine and electric water boiler. Shower worked well, lots of towels. Comfortable beds. Location is very central. Cups and glasses provided. Nice area for boots in main entryway. Free parking nearby.

Great place in Seyðisfjörður

This guest house was clean and in a great location. Unfortunately, we chose the wrong time of year to go. Not much was happening and the drive getting there met us with some very unfavorable weather making it difficult to get there. That being said, the people we encountered were very nice starting with, and most importantly, the owner Maggy and her husband. They were truly my saving grace in helping us out if the fjord.  The room was cozy and comfortable. The rec center nearby had excellent coffee.  Selection for breakfast was extremely limited when we went so plan accordingly.

Beautiful room and location but be careful of when you plan to go

This was a lovely place to stay in a small village in the East Fjords of Iceland.  The room was lovely - comfortable, enough room for 2, clean and appeared new. However, one must be aware that breakfast is not provided and there are limited options in the town. We had the breakfast buffet at the Hotel Akden, as suggested, and it was 3000ISK pp for a simple buffet, which we felt was quite expensive. Given that the room itself was very expensive for what it was, I gave it a lower rating. Also know that there is no one at the guesthouse so you do not meet anyone, but there is a phone number to call. All of this information was made clear when booking, so no surprises!

Excellent guest house!  We arrived around 5pm, there is no reception.  There was an envelope with our room key waiting for us.  Our room was on second floor; there is no elevator.  Room was very clean and comfortable.  Location is great; center of town right on the rainbow street.  Highly recommended.
