Grettir Apartments

This was a cute little place in the best location for exploring Reykjavík. Walkable to just about anywhere and convenient from the airport bus station. Was smaller than we expected but great for sleeping and showering! Laundry facility was a great bonus. Owner was awesome about us checking in early because we were tired to say the least. 

Great apartment in a central location! We stayed in apartment 3, separate bedroom and balcony! Beds comfy, great kitchen and we bought groceries from bonus supermarket and cooked some evenings, dishwasher is a bonus! No complaints at all, yes u can hear noise from other apartments but that’s normal in any apartment block and never bothered us at all. Do not listen to any negative reviews this place is spot on!

Perfect for what we needed! 

Fantastic apartment

The place is okay but little hard to find. The property does not have a lift and that may be an inconvenience. The laundry room was good and useful. However there were some issues during our stay. First of all, after turning the dishwasher on, the kitchen sink had started to clog. The shower in the bathroom did not work so well. Overall, the place was not too bad but could do well with some maintenance.

Mediocre apartment

We complained that the Grettir Apartments, a licensed tourist accommodation,
[ located at Grettisgata 53B, 101 Reykjavik, Iceland  (Phone:+354 6608919)]
never replied our demand for fulfilling their confirmation or refund.

The apartments confirmed on  8 July and 14 July, to move our accommodation dates to May 2023, after we emailed them the cancellation of our Iceland trip  They confirmed again on 4 October, to move our accommodation dates to 2-7 May 2023. Then we reconfirmed air tickets, everything with our friends to come, and informed them so on 14 December, but suddenly they repudiated their confirmation through whatsapp.

The continuous email confirmations are valid existing agreements while our payment Euro 775.2  constituted the consideration. Can any existing agreement be dismissed upon an alleged change of ownership holdings on a licensed hotel or apartment?

Since 14 December, they never replied our demand for fulfillment of the confirmation or refund. We treat it as a scam, and they hurt the reputation of Iceland tourism once such fact spreads out through social media.

Grettir Apartments (at Reykjavik, Iceland)  violates their agreement and ignores refund

Instead of the pictures of booking.com, the appartement was small, dark,and was in a bad condition. There were patches on the chairs. And the shower was a joke. A short description was hanged out on the wall, which was hardly understandable at all.
