Excellent stay with partner and two younger teenagers. Apartment is fairly well equipped. Sofa bed worked well. We cooked several meals and had everything required. Was very grateful to be able to use the laundry room before we went in a 10 day cruise as we pack lightly and only use carry ons. Good communication with owner pre trip about arrival time and he had to come to apartment to take card payment (not the case if you book directly or pay in advance). Location was suburb, shopping and grocery store within minutes.

This apartment is super central, down the street from Hallgrimmskirkjan and right next to an amazing bakery, and very comfortable. Gardar was easy to get ahold of and responded quickly to questions. The kitchen wasn't particularly well-equipped and the fridge was a bit wonky, but we had a great stay and would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful place with an excellent location

Great location and lovely well equipped apartment. Beds were comfortable including the sofa bed in the lounge. Bus stop 8 for your tour pick ups is a few mins walk away and the BSI bus station for airport bus is 15 mins walk away. Bonus supermarket 5 min walk for supplies. Lots of restaurants, bars in the immediate area. Would recommend. Luggage storage available if you arrive early. Host is very accommodating.

Our family stayed at Apartment 3 (the top floor) over New Year's and had a truly wonderful stay. Gardar, the owner, was so helpful to our family, going above and beyond to make us feel welcome and to provide helpful information when we asked.  The apartment could not be better situated, located in the heart of all that Reykjavik has to offer.  The kitchen made it easy to eat in (a nice cost savings and good way to accommodate two children), the beds were comfy, and everything was thoughtfully stocked and decorated.  We are grateful to have stayed here and look forward to returning.

I shared the penthouse apartment as a group of 3 and it was perfect. You could comfortably fit 4 people in the apartment overall. The location is amazing, a minute walk from the main streets of the capital. The apartment was spotless and the beds were so comfortable. I could not recommend this apartment more!

We shares this apartment as a group of three. It is literally in the most perfect position in town and has everything you need. It was super clean, lovely and warm and the check in and out was easy. Toiletries provided. 
Couldn't have asked for a more perfect location and if we come back we would love to stay again! Cheap parking available outside the front door too.

Amazing Apartment!

Excellent Apartment

Very good location, fairly near to the supermarket and the waterfront. Apartment was really spacious (more than enough space for 6) and was adequately heated. Amenities were well-provisioned too. Apartment does get quite dark at night however, as the lights are pretty dim. Bathroom also has quite a bit of mould on the ceiling. All in all - makes for a comfortable stay in Reykjavik, would recommend.

Well-equipped, Comfortable Apartment

Our apartment was nr 3 on second floor. We received clear info for check in and out by email. Furniture is almost new, beds are confortable. There is a queen bedroom and than a living room with kitchen equipped with everything apart from coffee machine, a big table and a sofa bed. Two adults cannot sleep in it, the negative thing is that the linen are not the right ones for the sofa bed, they are too small. Bathroom is small and shower is not so big, when we were there there was a leakage from the shower and i hope they will fix it. This apartment size is quite normal for reykjavik. There is no washing machine and it is good fir 1 or 2 night stay. The location is perfect near city center, just a few minutes by walking. Next door there is the best bakery in town, braud, that is perfect for any time of the day, from breakfast to purchase of high quality bread. There are 2 supermarkets just a few min by walk. I would definetely recommend this place

Very good stay

We only stayed for 1 night(december) as it was a road trip for us a family of 4. Free parking on selected periods of the week which lucky for us, we were able to get (weekends) right in front of the apartment after circling a few times.  The apartment itself is a grdflr/basement unit with 1 bedrm only. The kids (18+14) slept on the sofa bed in the living rm. Ok size for them. Equipped kitchen bt no opportunity to use except kettle. Good size bathrm with toiletries and towels. Location is sl. out from main shopping street but still walkable. Price wise, a lil pricey for us as we have stayed in many places in europe bt mayb its Iceland where most thgs are a lil bit pricier than others, and we only stayed just to rest after a very long flt. No big issues just the grdflr/basement unit that is really on the sidewalk where u can see/hear ppl walkg pass. Bt there are blinds. A lil confusing lookg for d key lock box which was around the back. Instructions were there bt we might have misunderstood it. Great bakery jst next door, we bought quite a few pastries to start the roadtrip. Definitely recommend this place for family but not more than 3-4adults. Great base to explore the city ctr. No comments on public transport or bus stops as we didnt take notice of them.

Great stay

We LOVE this place! I’ve travelled all over the world and there’s nothing better than finding a gem of a spot to rest your head at night. This spacious apartment is located right next to one of the best bakeries in town. Each morning I would walk next door for fresh chocolate croissants and coffee. It is literally walking distance from every amenity you can think of. I walked alone at night and early morning and always felt safe. 
The beds were comfy and the living area spacious. Even the shampoo and conditioner were top notch. The comfy playpen style couch easily sleeps two and the bedroom has two twins that can be pushed together or pulled apart. 
   The owner was gracious and quick to respond to any question or need and even let us check in at 8 in the morning since no one was there the night before. He even came over at 10 at night to reboot the WiFi! If we ever come back to this beautiful country, there is nowhere else we are staying. The water in Iceland smells like sulphur but I’m s perfectly safe to drinks The smell takes a little getting used to. Request 14a..top floor if possible.
