We had such a great stay here. Me and my 3 friends had a girls holiday and what a perfect spot to stay at. As many have said before in walkable distance to restaurants/bars and other sights, but far enough away you have a bit of peace. The apartment was always lovely and warm when it was VERY cold outside. Amazing supermarket to the back of the building that we used to make breafast in the mornings, also a love coffee shop at the bottom of the hill and to the right that do the best lattes. My only gripes would be checking was complicated but was soon resolved and also being there for 4 nights with 3 other girls towels could of done with refreshing. Other than that we loved it. 

Lovely apartment 

Myself and my partner stayed here in December for what was supposed to be 4 nights. Upon arrival (at 3.30pm), we followed the self-check in instructions to find that no key had been left for us in the keysafe by our apartment. We called the service number and the emergency number as the office was shut (supposed to close at 5pm). Both phones went to answering machine and after an hour of calling and standing in the freezing cold, we gave up and checked into another hotel for the night. Eventually they called back after we had checked into the other place.
The next day we successfully checked in- we found the place to be dirty- our feet were black from the floor, there were dirty dishes in the dishwasher and there was mould. There was a plug in heater so the place was freezing and we needed to use the oven to help to heat the place in the mornings! 
We were assured that we would be refunded for our first night and negotiated to have a second night refunded as compensation. We waited over a month for the refund to come through after a lot of chasing! 
Terrible customer service! I would never recommend anyone stays here in the future. The only benefit was the location of the place and that we had kitchen facilities. 

Dirty, cold and no key to check in! 

Have recently stayed at the Ambassade Apartments (2 adults and 2 teenage boys) for 4 nights over the New Year’s period - have traveled extensively and would have no doubts in recommending these apartments.  We stayed in apartment No 4, which was a 2 bedroom apartment.  Nice size rooms, lounge/dinning area and bathroom were a great size and the small but well equipped kitchen was ideal.  Many nice little touches in the apartment including a tv with a couple of British channels!.  Spotlessly clean and loads of clean towels etc.  Communication with Andres (apartment manager) before we arrived was good and instructions of how to gain entry to the apartment and check in was very simple.  The apartments have a small car park for 3 cars which upon arrival was full however ample on the road parking so left the car there till the next day and after that always had room to park.  The apartments are in a great location, a 10/15min walk from most of the sights, however far enough away not to be bothered by noise and a great supermarket is very close by for your essentials. The only issue we had whilst there was our neighbours below decided to have a New Year’s Eve party till 4.30am but that was not a fault of the apartments, just inconsiderate fellow guests! If we return to Iceland in the future we wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else

Only thing to think about is apartment 4 is up a steep set of spiral stairs so not great for anyone who find stairs a challenge (or for my husband lugging 3 large and heavy suitcases - I don’t travel light😝) 

Excellent apartments in a great location

A perfect place to stay to explore Reykjavik. Central location clean and spacious with everything you need for your stay. A few minutes walk from bus stop 3 where transfers drop off and trips pick up from. A supermarket just to the rear of the property. We will definitely be back loved every minute of our stay.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment with our family of 4, including 2 teenagers. The apartment was comfortable and roomy, and well appointed with all that we needed. The office is located right next door, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The location was excellent - 1 block from bus stop # 2, 2 blocks from the main streets of shopping and restaurants, and there is a grocery store just the next street over. While the location was extremely convenient, it was far enough from the noise of traffic and tourists, so that it was quiet for us. The rest of downtown is also easily accessible in walking distance. We did not need a car, and being so close to the bus stop, we were able to hop on for tours very easily. Definitely recommend.

Excellent apartment and great location!

Cozy, spacious apartment, near the city center and to the good restaurants. Helpful and friendly staff. Great and cozy place during winter time, tall windows gives you a great view on the streets of Reykjavik.

Great place my friend suggested me while booking & never regret it.
Super comfort in centre of Reykjavik with everything nearby walking just for 15 mins , harpa, the sun voyage, church, laugavegur shopping street, 100's of restaurants and more.

Had taken 2bedroom apartment no.3 for 3 nights and was happy go lucky.

Very useful fully equipped kitchen , super spacious rooms, a good dining area & what more does one need :) free superspeed wifi too.

Compliment for the owner & I recommend apartment no.3 to all for best of experience. 

Free parking too for which others crave in Reykjavik :)

Comfort Cushion For Travellers

The location is great within walking distance to everything in city center.
I have talked face to face 4 times, via phone twice, via texts message from their own web sight(luana.is) and sent emails.
No working WIFI. I explained how important that was to my family for the 5 days we were booked.
We are given no response as to when it will be corrected, OR if a switch could be made or financial adjustment.
It is almost like talking to my dog, no decipherable answer, just blank stares.

Poor service

The Check-in was fast, and the office is just next to the apartment.
Its a huge apartment, with lot of open space, except for the second bedroom which is pretty small. 
The hall is big with a dining table, and the kitchen was the best among all our stays in Iceland. 
Everything was neat and clean. 
The location is superb, as its just a lane away from the main street of Laugavegur.
The Harpa was 5 mins walking, and the main church was 7 mins walking. Basically, you just need to park your car and can roam around by walking.
Overall, it was a very nice experience.
I highly recommend staying here when in Reykjavik.

Beautiful Apartment

Beautiful cozy apartment, well appointed and I really appreciated the tea and coffee that was left for us. I travelled with my two teens and really felt it had lots of space. We had the top level and really enjoyed the view. It was nice to let ourselves in as we are independent travelers and there was a great affordable grocery store just around the corner.
