We stayed just one night. The location is a definite plus, the staff is super friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately it is very loud even if the owner requests the guests to stay silent from a certain time onwards. Apparently some guests do not care about others (it mig it have been a coincidence but for us it was disturbing). 
The house is very old bit seemed clean. It is lovely to be able to catch up with other travelers which is always enlightening. 
The fact that there is no wash basin in the room is a bit inconvenient.

Downtown Reykjavik

Stayed one night and we were underwhelmed with the guesthouse and experience.  The positive is the location.  Near the church and walking distance to everything.  Bed and bedding were uncomfortable.  Water pressure in the shower was not very good.  Wouldn't recommend.

Location is a plus, but that's about it.

Central, clean, friendly host

Used last night in Iceland: good guesthouse, very typical common spaces, adequate room (our with bathroom), bathroom perhaps to be reviewed because a little old. Good communication, comfortable bed, adequate lingerie, functioning and fast internet. Very nice and well equipped common kitchen and the space for dinner and breakfast, many books and guides available. Parking in the surroundings is both free and free (there is something after 5pm).

This is a nice little guesthouse right in the heart of town. You honestly can’t beat the price or the location as it’s very near everything you want to walk to, including excellent restaurants. We also loved visiting the sculpture museum nearby. The guys that manage this place are very friendly and leant us some electronic adapters for our stay which we really appreciated. We had two rooms and they were clean and comfortable. The breakfast is pretty basic but appreciated. The only downside is that the water smells like sulfur but I suspect that a lot of homes have this issue in Iceland. We stayed for a few days in a luxury hotel that didn’t have this issue but we also paid a lot more and it wasn’t as close.

Great guesthouse in Reykjavik

The reception by the young Serb Nicola was extremely friendly: he explained the habits of the house and formally urged us to help carry the suitcases. Since he lives in the house, he was always approachable, even if he occasionally takes one of his rare breaks or has to do something outside the house - just fine! He is also well acquainted in Reykjavik when he recommended us to two music shops for our desire to buy CDs with typical Icelandic music. We had a spacious room, even with a sofa and a small T. Unfortunately, the animal server has been set up - really bad! But in the kitchen something can be made in the morning.

Good and central location

Typical guesthouse in a perfect location if you want to explore Reykjavik. Unfortunately no B&B option was available. All in all not cheap but location made up for this and we had a very enjoyable stay overall.

Great location near the church. The host was warm and inviting, and the place had a lot of charm.

It's a hotel-priced hostel.Small rooms, badly maintained bathrooms and a generally uncomfortable hotel.First floor room without elevator and uncomfortable stairs loaded with suitcases and backpacks.You have to undo your shoes at the entrance and put on some used sneakers that have been stolen before you know how many more people.

There is no Volveré.

This guest house was a wonderful place. We spent 2 nights. The location is excellent, walking distance to downtown and many different attractions. It’s an older house with much artwork. The bathroom needs some TLC, but everything worked. The room was spacious. Breakfast is just cereal, toast and coffee, but you have access to a full kitchen. They did not offer any bar soap or a wash cloth. You are asked to take your shoes off once you enter the house, but they did have some house shoes that you could use.
