Due to Covid and not being able to get into the country, we didn’t stay here. We had a reservation. They had our money.
They never answered emails or phone calls. We never received any refund. No customer service at all. If we ever get to Iceland, this is not where we would stay. Very disappointing.

No Customer Service

My advice would be to check what room you’re booked into & change it if it’s home 2! There is nothing remotely luxury about these apartments. Home 2 was shocking, with a filthy sofa, dirty walls, urine stains on bathroom wall, dirty floors, broken blinds & quite disturbing artwork above the bed. When I say disturbing, I mean creepy baby dolls covered In wax above your head! 

We asked to move but could only get moved the following day which wasn’t ideal. The reception staff (which you do not meet, only talk to via telephone) promised to move our bags to our new room the next day from the luggage room as we were on an all day trip. Thankfully we had a two hour break and decided to come back to check. Rang reception who had no idea about us moving & cleaners had finished for the day so couldn’t get our bags. The receptionist had to come to the hotel (30 minutes later) to unlock luggage room. If we hadn’t come back, we would have had no luggage that night! We were moved upstairs to home 3 which wasn’t great but much better than home 2.

Noisy (you can hear every step taken upstairs)
Pebbles around bed that you have to walk over can be painful
No real person to meet if you have problems
Blinds broken in both rooms (couldn’t close blinds by bed in home 3)
Artwork is creepy 

It’s such a shame to write such a negative review because the place has such great potential if they were to give it a little tlc. 



AVOID Home 2 & lower expectations! 

We booked to stay here for my 50th Birthday, we wanted something a little more than just your average apartment. Unfortunately this didn't meet our expectations. Many things were not as described. Free Parking - There was no free parking. Daily Clean - There is no daily clean, and you have to nag and chase to get your bins emptied and clean towels. Our bathroom was not cleaned nor was our kitchen for 6 days. Games Console - There wasn't one. Sofa Bed - Broken and stained. Windows - ill fitting in one bedroom so you had a constant draught. Blinds in bathroom - Give no privacy when using the toilet at all, had to use the toilet with no light on as I didnt want to be seen using the toilet. TV - Hardly any channels and TV makes a horrible buzzing noise. No Mini Bar as advertised. The good thing about the apartment was the location, it was very central but unfortunately I cant say anymore than that as it left us all very very disappointed.

Far from Luxury

The room I got was nothing like the picture I saw on Expedia when booking.  After staying 2 nights in Jan 2020, I can tell you it was a terrible stay.  For reference, I got "Home Luxury Apartment Unit 2".  Maybe the other good reviews received a different unit.

- Super noisy as you can hear every footstep from the floor above
- Wifi sucks.  I literally could not get a connection on my laptop or mobile phone the entire time.  Had to go to lobby (must exit building and reenter another building) to get any wifi.
- Water smells like rotten eggs (very high sulfur smell)
- Artwork on wall is disturbing.  Whoever decorated this has really creepy taste
- They say they provide daily cleaning on their check in sheet.  But when I called and inquired, they claimed they no longer do that.  I never had my unit cleaned during my stay.
- Sofa is dirty and old.

This IS NOT A LUXURY STAY.

Great location, with everything you need !

We booked one of the one-bed apartments for a stay in April 2019. I was attending a conference at the University of Iceland and these accommodations were in the perfect location. I was a 20-minute walk to the university, and the apartments themselves are right in the middle of everything Reykjavik has to offer. 
There was free parking available for us during our stay. 
Things about the apartment that we loved: the mattress (seriously amazing memory foam) and the shower (endless hot water and great water pressure). Things that could be improved include the amount of silverware in the kitchen. There were plenty of plates/cups/glasses for us to make our own breakfast and lunch to-go each day. 
Some of the blinds were broken and didn't work but luckily they were on windows that didn't need to be covered for any real period of time.
Everything you could want is within walking distance: grocery store, coffee shops, restaurants. 
The price was extremely reasonable by Icelandic standards, service was polite and the accommodations were just what we needed. 
We happily recommend a stay here.

Great location and comfortable accomodations

the room was spacious for two. Very close to everything. The check-in and check-out easy and fast. Except we spent 20minutes just to look for the receptions and turn out it just off the main road (next to Information Center). Would be nice if they have a signage or something. Other than that, it was great and too bad we just stayed for a night. 

Spacious and comfortable

The location of this apartment is great, just off the main street, and not too far to walk from the bus stop. The apartment was well equipped but a few things could have been improved. There was no plug in the kitchen sink for washing up, the TV turned on but we had no signal. Also, we had to cross the stone floor every day to get in and out of bed and we always came away with loose pebbles on our feet. Also, it would have been nicer to know beforehand that toiletries were provided in the bathroom, to save us bringing them all with us :)

Would recommend, but could be improved

Booked the 2 bed penthouse as it also has a sofa bed in the lounge plus some free parking and it turned out to be the perfect option for my family. The location is excellent, walking distance from everything. The apartment is clean, comfortable and very spacious. The kitchen is extremely well equipped, much better than most aparthotels although ours had no microwave. There was also a large TV and a dvd player, plus the wifi is excellent. The views from the penthouse are tri-aspect; you can see the wonderful concert hall. The toiletries provided were of a very high quality, had we known this we would only have brought toothpaste with us! The exceptionally deep wooden tub was really wonderful but i believe this is only available in the penthouse ( but I could be wrong). The beds are huge and very comfortable. Please note on arriving that the front door just has a small sign saying apartment k, plus the 4 free parking spaces at the rear of the property are accessed via the road behind the building, not the road with the front door, which is where your satnav will take you. Staff on check in were very helpful and friendly, they said they would be happy to help with anything we needed but we did not require any further help from them. Also provided were ample supplies of tea, coffee and sugar so no need to bring any with you. The apartment was cleaned daily to a very high standard. I highly recommend this place.

I would have loved to stay here longer because of the central location and awesome room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place and would book it again if I were to visit.
