The reception staff were extremely helpful, informative, friendly etc. We had a difficulty with tours picking us up from the hotel and the reception staff took it in their hands and contacted the tour companies on our behalf. They were top notch staff at this hotel!
The room was clean but the hotel does show it's age (ie. paint peeling on the window sills). The building itself does need some TLC. The breakfast buffet is very expensive for what you get. Although there was variety in the buffet, it wasn't top quality (ie. frozen waffles rather than a freshly made waffle). I wish they have 24/7 room service but the restaurant closes at 10pm so if you're hungry after, you have to order pizza from the local Dominos.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. There's a bus stop right near the entrance and taxis can be called and will arrive in a few minutes.
A bit tired looking (as we were warned) and very crowded public areas. Not very relaxing and also not close enough to the centre to avoid a 20 minute walk or transport unless you're a sprinter.
The hotel was located approximately 15 minute walk from centre however the advantage of this was that trips picked you up direct from the hotel. If you stay closer to the centre then you have to meet at a central bus stop, this could mean a wait of upto 30 minutes as most tours gave a window as to when they would pick you up. The breakfast buffet was plentiful with a good selection of both hot and cold items.
Some of the areas could do with refurbishment, I understand that this is on going.
