Guy and girl working inside here are good people doing  their best.  Premises are good

But. WARNING!!!!:
the owner is horrible. She has really bad business manners, generally puts her clients in very bad monetary situations sometimes (check here and TripAdvisor for these reviews and you won't choose to book here I'm sure, I wish I had done that)

Om my arrival day I was locked out at 2.30 am  because the hotel didn't send the entry code to me and THERE WAS NO EMERGENCY NUMBER TO CALL. If says on the website after 21.00 you check in with a code. But no code in my email.  I had to pay over 200€ total extra to go to another room,  by taxi. Since I had an E-sim I could Google for a taxi and call via Skype luckily because the streets were empty and no public wifis. Standing in arctic winds alone in Iceland! All the hotel's fault.

She tries to tell me I should have emailed them about a late arrival which there was NO INFO about in the confirmation and generally just blames me for the whole situation when clearly its the fault of the hostel. Horrible owner. She could have given me a refund for the first night as I politely asked but she refuses and simply blames me and Expedia. Horrible manners not caring about anything except some 50€ for 1 night

Please use your money better and book B47 bus hostel instead-much better people working there, perfect for all excursions and transfers etc. Maria in B14 does not take care of the guests if something happens so better to go to a different place to avoid being treated horribly losing your money. So go to B47 instead.

Stay away if you want your peace of mind and not lose money

Arrived to this hostel that is outside of the city center only to find that the bunk I was assigned was dirty and/or still in use! No one on site to sort out the issue and owner refused a refund. I was forced to find another last minute accommodation.

Assigned a dirty and in use bed. No help or solution offered.

The staff was amazing and very welcoming. Really recommend.

I came to B-14 from a partial hike on the hut-to-hut Laugevegur Hiking Trail. I needed something economical and available for the same night. As a mature female traveling alone, I figured if I could stay in trail huts, I could stay in a hostel. I was super pleasantly surprised to find a welcoming, friendly, very clean and comfortable accommodation. I slept better than I had in a few nights! I would definitely recommend this hostel to others.

Great staff. Really well kitted out shared kitchen. Clean and mellow atmosphere. Convenient location.

- Kitchen and common space was large and useful
- Internet was good
- Quiet area 
- Seems safe. 
- Lots of parking 
- Rooms were well sorted  but no place to store bags. 
- Curtains are a nice touch. 
- All beds were squeaky. Anytime anyone rolls over the whole place wakes up.  
- Only two showers and they are gross. Should be cleaned throughout the day. 
- Price is higher then what it should be and for what's around in rek
- no soap for hands in washroom and wastebaskets overflowing by 9pm
- extra beds in the middle of the room to trip over. 
- beds don't have sheets just one cover 
- the no reception thing isn't a big deal. That's where things are heading

It's ok

I was a little bit disappointing I was left outside without a key or a code to get in, but after one night here I extended my stay three more nights because it's so clean and so immaculate but it's actually nicer than some hotels I've stayed at. I had a 12 bunk room and I only had to share it with one other person. Very clean, and extremely luxurious, which, for a hostel, is basically unheard of

The B14 hostel is a perfect little haven to stay if solo travelling or in a group with a budget. The hostel is self-check in with codes emailed to you for the doors. The kitchen and social space is clean and tidy which was a nice change. Beds were all tidy with clean bedding & the beds have individual curtains for added privacy. There is also a female only room consisting on 10 bunks. The hostel is out of the way which can be tricky to get into the centre if you aren’t driving. Bus stops are located close along with supermarkets which slightly makes up for the placement of the hostel. Whilst staying I was the only person in my dorm so effectively had a private room. There are plenty of bathrooms and showers in the hostel which are kept reasonably clean, however did smell whilst I was there. The kitchen is also well equipped & has a variety of items supplied for all hostel users (for example, milk). 

Besides the smell of the bathrooms, location of the hostel and no clear towels to use it is the perfect standard little hostel, basic enough for all your needs.
