An incredible place to stay.  The apartments were exceptional and the staff were wonderful.  We genuinely could not be happier.

Very accessible area. Multiple parking options and zones. Food all around and in the middle for the main attractions. Some idiot set fire alarm off late evening but the staff dealt with it very quickly. Clean modern and fresh I would say as a basic summary. Icelandic prices massive compared to UK but you have to simply deal with it. The apartment has basic amenities but everything you need to prep for a long trip ahead. Kids couldn't get round the sulphur smell from the shower but I'm sure they will understand in years to come. Will be returning.

The room was big, clean, and comfortable, with a handy kitchenette for making breakfast. Unfortunately, it was really noisy—I could hear the upstairs neighbors walking around all night, and it made it hard to sleep.

Great location in downtown. If you are staying in the apartment, parking is free. I checked in early without a fee! Clean, remodeled. Little trouble to use the application. We had to read the manual to figure out. Very friendly staffs!!!

Great apartment perfect for a solo traveler. Right in the middle of it all.

Ideal for an adventure type holiday in Iceland with needed washing, drying and cooking facilities- would highly recommend.

The one bedroom apartment was well appointed.  I would say this was more like a studio, since there was no door closing off the ‘bedroom’.  There is no local television access, you have to use your own streaming providers.  They provided you with basics you need (dishwasher detergent, laundry soap, salt/pepper, coffee/tea) to get you started, which was nice.  Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Great location, 10 minutes from harbour and literally on the main tourists road. Hotel is family friendly. We stayed in the flats and the room was clean and had everything you need to prepare food for the little ones. Shop nearby and there was parking available during our stay. But first come first served. This might be busy during peak periods and impossible to get a parking spot.

Anyone who has visited Iceland will tell you it’s expensive for foreigners but incredibly friendly. These apartments are very very comfortable and offer a great reception area to relax with very good buffet breakfast and friendly staff. The amazing thing is that compared to similar options, I chose this option to save a little money 🤗

The apartment was lovely and I wish I could have stayed longer. The location was perfect-in the center of downtown Reyjkavik.  My only quible was getting into the apartment. It was easy to get into the apartment but following the instructions i received, I couldnt get into thr apt. I called their number and i was told that i had to go across the street to get a key. Not a big problem. Also be warned. There is an elevator but 3 steps to get to it. Also, a big step down once you open the apt door. Once again, not a big issue.  It is a lovely apt .

We stayed in our apartment and it was a such a comfortable and cozy space. It was so relaxing to come back to our apartment at the end of long day tours. Thingholt is also walkable to many major attractions and a grocery store with reasonable prices (we bought our food and cooked at our room all 5 days to save money). Service from the staff was excellent as well. I definitely recommend a stay at Thingholt.

Great property. Location doesn’t get better, tucked away and quiet but just off the main shopping street. I wouldn’t book through Expedia again, complicated things and worried me.I booked for 2 adults and a child. Just felt a bit concerned re what my son would sleep on so tried to ring hotel and numbers on Expedia didn’t work! Eventually spoke to Expedia and they told me I only had accommodations for 2, despite my booking clearly read 3;  no refund deal on the hotel! I eventually got through to the hotel when they emailed re the booking approaching, with a phone number attached. Incredibly helpful and said it’s often an issue when booking through a 3rd party.They gave me an apartment with bed area and sofa bed, it was perfect!Boiling hot, turned off the rads. Fridge, oven, toaster, hob, dw and wash machine. Washing up liquid, dishwasher pods and shower gel, toilet rolls and soap supplied. Salt, pepper, some coffee and sweetener sachets allSupplied plus towels, dish scrubby, bin bags and bedding.Beds were very comfy, and even the sofa bed, for one 😄Water is a bit smelly but that is what the water in Iceland is like and you get used to it very quickly shower was great, a bit cooler to the end of our stay but still good.Only 4 free parking spaces at the accommodation but we often got one and parking around was reasonable, if you went P3 and not a big walk! Supermarkets within a few minutes walk.Restaurants are expensive and we really appreciated being able to cook 😄

The location of the apartment was FABULOUS! (a little noisy on New Years Eve)(beautiful fireworks though). Centrally located, easy access to restaurants, cafes and shops. The hotel is directly across the street if you need help (we didn't realize that until the last day, as we were leaving...the gentlemen at the front desk were friendly and helpful storing our luggage for a couple of hours and arranging for a large taxi to get us to the airport. Wish we had realized they were there earlier in our trip!The room itself was amazing! The size, the cleanliness. The bathroom had black stones everywhere (floor and walls), was unique and really nice. The only problem we had was in the bathroom. First, there was a shower curtain rod, but no curtain (so water went all over). Second, the sink was TINY!!! (while washing up and brushing teeth, half of the water used was ending up on the floor). Third, the bathroom door was really difficult to open and close, especially when you were in the bathroom (we figured out we had to slide it open from the very far side when outside. Never found an easier way to open it while inside). And lastly, and the most significant and important...was the smell of sulfur...which spread into the room itself...The first night was the worst until we finally realized where it was coming from. We placed a towel over the drain in the shower and kept the door closed, at all times. I would definitely stay here again - just speak to someone about that smell !!!

Excellent apartment/hotel in Reykjavik. Great location downtown, close to all the shopping and bus stops 3 and 6 for bus tours. The kitchen has everything you need to make your own meals. The only thing is that it’s a bit loud at night due to nearby bars and restaurants. But the hotel provides earplugs. Comfortable rooms and bed which made our trip even more enjoyable. Will stay here again.
