Fit Guesthouse

I was there 15.12.17 until 01.02.18. I can not complain, clean room, internet, tv, cool kitchen with all that I needed. No problem overhead. I do not understand negative comments, I ordered myself, I did not order a hotel, just a bed to sleep in and for the money I got a lot more than I expected, I've seen it worse.

Good place.

I got stuck with a change of assignment and a couple of days notice to find a bed for an extra two nights so there was nothing available in the peak of summer except this rundown place with its main positive proximity to the airport to make a really early flight. The town of nearby Keflavik is actually quite a lovely spot with a history of fishing & boat building and repairs but stay somewhere else. This hostel has clearly been let go by the owners for some time and when I asked the manager he shrugged his shoulders and said they would not spend an extra króna on the bathrooms, kitchen and dorms let alone private rooms. I arrived early to get the best pillow and bunk in a men's dorm of ten the only bonus I had to up at 5am to return the car and get a flight out. Iceland is an amazing place but more and more property owners are ripping over workers and travellers due to the demand. Health inspector should have been onto this place ages ago.

Not Fit for human habitation

We've been here on our last night in Island, we thought it would be a good accomodation for its proximity to the airport.
First of all the photos you see are either photoshopped or fake. The structure is beyond the unacceptable, dirty, unconfortable, and expensive. 
€180 for a small room, dirt everywhere, the shades were dirty and unusable, the sheets were like the paper ones you find in the old train couch and we had to make up the beds for ourselves. 
Kitchen too dirty and with not enough tools or forks or spoons or anything.
The bathroom: there were two bathroom, i dare you to try and take a shower because we found there COCKROACHES!! Yes, coackroaches. 
It's a pity Tripadvisor doesn't have any e-mail to signal this structure. I strongly advise not to stay there, if you have an early flight ti's best to stop and sleep in the car or directly in the ariport. Save your money here, it should be closed.

Should be demolished and grounded - pics aren't real

We were deciding between 2 guesthouses, (unfortunately) we picked FIT guesthouse because it has a kitchen. But when we came and saw the dirty place, rusty fridge with old leftovers, disgusting shower/toilet, dusty room - we lost apetite. The atmosphere was so unfriendly that the best thing about our stay was that we left early in the morning. To pay 103 eur for 1 night in a room with a view on litter and containers, 1 chair, and 2 single beds (instead of 1 double, as ordered)? We even had to arange the linen and sheets, it was not ready. Like a paying customer I didn't expect to do the housekeepers job. We don't need a high standard, but THIS 'value' for THAT price? Not any more!

You first roll up to a car breakers and the tin building in the corner are the sleeping quarters. The empty camping gas canisters outside reception is the welcome you get. As you go into reception there was a 50mm deep flood and its was all bolted up like a school store cupboard. the next door you go to is the shared bathroom with a sticker on each door, saying man and woman on each. The shower waas thick with grime and dirt. i then ventured into the kitchen which was just as bad, rust in the bottom of the fridge, mold in the oven, mountain of washing up piled high, the tap was hanging off and the cockroach seem the cleanest thing to be seen. i felt sorry for the roach living in such squalor that i can only assume some squatters had abandoned.  I wiped my feet on the way out for the cleanliness of Reykjanesbær.

We looked for a place to sleep before our flight, our order was 1 bed,  when we arrived in the reception told us that there is no room with one bed because at all. 
The room was very poorly mantained, the floor was sendy, the sheets were with stains on them, the corridor was very noisy almost all night. 
The bathroom was also dirty, there was no toilet paper. The shower was very dirty and not welcoming. 
 My advice: if you can, look for another place to stay.
