B & B Guesthouse is a hostel 10 minutes drive from Keflavik Airport.

Our room was clean, the beds were springy and it was a little noisy with people coming and going through the night.

The Eastern European staff work hard all through the day and night transporting guests to and from the airport, as well as running the hostel.

The hostel was clean, including the communal showers. The kitchen however was a different story thanks to a group of grubs (messy dirty people) that used most the cooking equipment, but didn't wash it up properly or clean up the work surfaces.

Overall - I didn't feel that B & B guesthouse offers value for money.

Adequate for a night if you have an early / late flight out of Keflavik.

This is the worse hotel/BB I've ever set my foot in. It had a totally unacceptable standard. Check-in was quick and quite abrupt. The room was in a very bad condition. The bed linen was totally worn out and the pillowcase seemed already used with several dark hairs on it. The duvet was thin and worn our and so was the towel. I removed the duvet and pillow and used my sleeping bag instead. The door had scratches as if someone had tried to escape from it, unfortunately I didn't take a picture of the scratches around the looker on inside of the door, it must have been made by someone with someting hard who was desperate. The bathroom was unbelievable. See the pictures. It was dirty and broken. The bath mat who I was meant to share with the other rooms was totally worn out. There was hair in the shower, that was a total wreck. I didn't shower during my stay because of this. The wi-fi was non-existing on my room. The breakfast was really bad. The juices was presented in containers and so diluted with water that there was barely any color left. It tasted nothing. Everything was out of its original packing and probably of the cheapest brand available, at least it tasted so. I tried the apple juice and just had to pour it out. Ended up with two toast bread with jam, I guess that was the most tasty. The airport shuttle was limited to pre-defined times, and could be full if you didn't order it early the day before. The latest departure in the morning from the BB was 0740 am. I guess its convenient for the hotel to get the guests out early. The parking is not free if you book via Expedia a note said. I paid 16000 ISK for one night. I really regret booking this hotel. I didn't feel secure and there wasn't a friendly atmosphere so I just pulled it through the night. The shared kitchen was in ok condition, but that was the only positive thing to say. I could have taken a lot more pictures to document this, but my priority ended up looking forward to leave as quick as possible. Luckily I got a shared room at a hostel closer to the airport the next day. That was Hilton standard compared to this.

Terrible 

The rooms are incredibly tiny. I could hardly walk around the bed and hit my head at the tv all the time. There was no space for the suitcases apart from inside the bathroom. The rooms were hot (the window could open only a fraction and no airco). The juices at breakfast were horrible and I would recommend to stick to water or milk. But their free transfer to the hotel was on time and the driver friendly. There is a communal sitting area, which was even hotter than the room.

Very budget, very small rooms

No shuttle service to the airport possible that matched with our departure-time. First they told us shuttle-service would match, later they told us, that we have to take a shuttle TOO early. We asked for a later one, but no chance to get one (about 8 oder 8:30). We decided to take a taxi.
Not really helpfully staff, not interested in our shuttle-problem.
When we checked in, our room wasn't ready and we had to wait.

Clean rooms, comfortable beds. The self-service breakfast included. Also a very clever idea for early check-outs. The airport drop-off was smooth and on time. The common bathrooms were very clean. Don't forget to bring your own towel. Even if you do I believe something can be arranged. A smooth experience.

Good option

Modern and clean but somewhat small rooms. Decent common kitchen and bathrooms. Free one-way airport transport. Self-service breakfast included almost nothing. A bit expensive like almost all accommodation in Iceland.

Practical for one night stay near KEF airport

Three of us booked this for the night before flying back to the US.  We realized right away that this was the worst accommodation of the entire trip.  To be fair, when we paid with cash, the owners deducted part of the price, which was very generous of them.

The room was large enough for our belongings, and had a sink.  Bathrooms were at both ends of the hallway, and our room was close to one of them.  

After sleeping for 9 nights in delightful guest houses and hotels all along the Ring Road, we had a hard time sleeping with street noise and road construction/painting going on.  Unlike every single other place we slept, we did not get the feeling that this hotel was scrubbed clean.  Perhaps we are wrong, but it definitely did NOT look, feel, or smell like a thoroughly-clean facility.  It looked old, tired, and dingy.  

Had we known how easy and fast it is to drive from Reykjavik to the airport, we would have returned to the first hotel of the trip,  Baldursbra Guesthouse,  in Reykjavik.  Next time we come to Iceland, we won't stay near the airport.  It's not worth it if you have a car.

Friendly owners, good location, but the worst (and dirtiest) place we stayed.

Hilmar was at the airport to pick us up within five minutes of our call. The house is clean, and the breakfast area was a wonderful place to chat with fellow travelers who had just completed their trip and generously shared experiences and recommendation.

Friendly & helpful host. Convenient, clean, & good value

The guesthouse is very clean and very pleasant. The breakfast is full of good food and drinks and the rooms are clean and spacious. The staff is very helpful and makes everything to make your stay and departure easy.
A shuttle is taking us to the airport depending on the hour of our flight. 
I highly recommand this guesthouse!

Perfect location near the airport and excellent service

We booked this hotel for our last night before an 8 AM flight home. My husband and I joked that this was such an unpleasant place because it was designed to make us glad to leave Iceland.

The room felt unclean, the shower and tile grout was dirty, the carpet was gross - this was the kind of hotel that I think convicts might be released to. Paint needs to be redone but meanwhile is a boring industrial beige. 

There is no restaurant but a few doors down is a "steak and pizza restaurant" where they are playing fast and loose with the descriptions :)  My husband's burger was dreadful but my fish and chips weren't half bad.

I feel bad for anyone who might book this hotel on their way into Iceland (It's not this bad anywhere else, I promise) and for those of us leaving, It's an insult after spending time in this wonderful country.
