Wow ! So unpredictable to find such a comfortable place in the middle of nowhere . Welcoming and attentive stuff, Hot spring very close to, super tasty food , comfortable and warm rooms and wonderful breakfast with amazing view . I would like to come back

The staff was very helpful. After a long day getting there from the airport, they directed us to the nearest hot spring and provided us with an extra towel and robe. Their restaurant offered a good variety and the food was excellent. Our room was as described and the beds comfy! I highly recommend this property should you venture to the West Fjords for lodging or a meal.

Such a beautiful location and staff was super nice.

We had a great stay. Hot pot was amazing and dinner was good. Beach across the street is great to watch northern lights if you’re lucky enough.

The staff were all so amazing! So nice, polite and helpful. Really great people ! The room was clean and comfortable. The food was really good. Definitely would recommend staying here.

Beautiful ocean view with a natural hot tub right by the ocean jus a minute drive from the hotel, they give you robes so you don't freeze. It was beautiful sitting in hot water by the ocean.

Very friendly and funny staff. Room was very big, loved the interior. Bathroom good size too with a heating rack to dry clothes.

This is really the only hotel option in the area. It is reasonable for what it is, a room at the end of a quiet fjord. They aren’t large rooms but you really shouldn’t be spending much time there.The hotel offered bathrobes and extra towels for the nearby hot spring which was a great plus. Thumbs up there. The restaurant has a bit of a captive audience. The food was good, though the dinner portions not large. We both left wanting more which was unfortunate. Breakfast had a lot of options for various tastes.All staff we dealt with were friendly and seemed to genuinely want to help. We wish the rooms had space for a small fridge for people who like to do a bit of self catering.

We stayed just one night in a new standard double room which overlooked the hotel carpark and then water.  Room recently renovated.  It was a very quiet location despite being on the main road.  No other dining options nearby so we dined at the hotel restaurant - unfortunately there was a big bus group in so service was slow.  Petrol pump and car washing bay on hotel site which was very convenient.  Breakfast buffet good.  Few minutes drive to ferry.

Convenient location for ferry, comfortable room

Convenient location in the West Fjords.  We got a superior double that was handicapped accessible - the plus side is that is was a very large, clean and comfortable room.  The price include a buffet breakfast.  The best part of the fresh bread.  The rest was standard buffet.  We had dinner in the restaurant. Don’t expect anything special.  But it was convenient and checked the box.  A bus load of tourists came and that dimmed the vibe a bit.  There is a nice hiking trail right from the parking lot and. Small gas station where you can wash your car - which you will likely need to do if you drive here.

Nice place to rest your head while touring the West Fjords.

My wife and I stayed here overnight during our West Fjords exploration. I was pleasantly surprised, expecting a 2-star experience at 4-star prices. But this is a good place to stay, very quiet, safe location. Our room on the back side, away from the road, was extremely quiet and worth not having a view (it looks at a steep hill behind property). WiFi was surprisingly fast for such a remote region, breakfast was good, and the bed quite comfy. I would stay here again if I got the chance to visit Iceland and West Fjords again (which I likely won’t, but still…).

Quiet room and clean hotel at south side of West Fjords.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful getting everything we needed for our stay. The food at the restaurant was great and convenient! The natural hot bath nearby was within walking distance to the hotel. Beds were comfortable, bathroom was nice and updated. We stayed in a family room/suite that had a bed and a pull-out bed/couch.Highly recommend, would stay here again for the west fjords.

My wife and I stayed here two nights and we loved this place. What stood out for us was the friendliness of the Polish staff. Two young girls and a a young guy were so friendly and helpful with travel tips. We were made to feel so welcome.
Our room was very comfy, probably the best room we stayed in whilst in Iceland. We looked out over the water which was great.
The dinners were really good but breakfast was pretty much the same you get everywhere in Iceland.
What was really handy too was the free self service pressure washer and petrol station adjoining the property. After being on Iceland's dirt roads it was great to wash the hire car.

Friendliest place in Iceland!!

We enjoyed an excellent 3-night stay in this lovely hotel. The room was spacious, bright, modern and included a practical ensuite with copious hot water. The beds were comfortable, everything was immaculately clean, plus there were plenty of sockets/usb making charging devices easy, plus WiFi was excellent. Lighting was very good and the blind combo worked well for shade & blackout. The only additional feature required was better space for clothes: there was a tiny hanging facility but no shelves/drawers. If you’re here more than just overnight it’s good to be able to unpack cases! Our room at the back was quiet though we didn’t get the view. The little seating areas in the public spaces (both inside and out) were delightful enabling us to enjoy afternoon/evening drinks in the sheltered sun-trap spot out the front.  All the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a simple continental-style buffet but there was plenty of choice, everything was well-organised & kept well-stocked. The view from the restaurant was stunning and we ate our evening meal here twice. On both occasions it was very busy with passers-by as well as resident guests, so make sure you book a table.  The menu isn’t particularly extensive but is perfectly adequate. Prices weren’t too bad as eating out in Iceland is always very expensive compared to the UK. Parking right outside was convenient and the fuel pump was an invaluable resource. Overall the location was wonderful: a perfect, peaceful spot in the middle of nowhere!! However it is reasonably easy to visit local attractions providing your vehicle is suitable for gravel roads, but don’t rely on Google timings (travel time is longer than it suggests!)

A superb hotel

We stayed there for one night in June 2023 and were very happy with the accommodation. The rooms were newly renovated and clean, the beds were comfortable, the breakfast was great and the staff were super friendly (unfortunately I broke my glasses/frames during my stay and one of the staff members glued them back together and they still hold, over a week later!)
The surroundings are beautiful and don't forget the hot tub :)

Gem in the Westfjords

Located in a beautiful remote area. Very clean and modern design. Super friendly and helpful staff. Spacious quiet room. Several small patio areas to enjoy the view are a huge plus. Parking is very convenient and the gas pump and free car wash a huge plus. 
Dinner was really good, the Arctic char sampler was fantastic and the salmon fresh and cooked well. Breakfast was very good. A small fridge in the room would be a great addition to store perishable food.
Didn’t care for the natural hot tub as it was overcrowded and sad to see that people toss their litter around.
Great area to explore the stunning landscape and nature around.
