We were the only guest staying here that night, but understandably Höfn is further away especially during the off peak winter months.Keeping this in mind we were asked what we’d like for breakfast so there was no buffet (so can’t comment on all of the options that may have been available if full house), we were also offered a radiator, along with the wall attached room radiator incase it got cold. Pros - huge room with big windows, bit toilet, tv, decent breakfast, polite and accommodative reception lady. Out of hours number was useful - help arrived in 3 minutes when we called up! Wide corridor outside room - good space for baby to crawl.Cons - car park area felt spooky at night with limited lighting, this could have been exaggerated because we were already hotel alone to begin with.A personal opinion, but if a member of staff stayed on-site, or made the exception of staying on-site in this instance, so that we weren’t completely alone it would have helped increase sense of security. Obviously this requires senior planning and decision making but would have really added to the experience.

Will visit again

We arrived at 8pm to an empty car park and a hotel that looked deserted so we were  concerned. We entered to find no receptionist just an envelope with our key card. This concerned us as anyone could walk in and use our key or just set up camp in the reception area! Our room was clean but not very warm so not a good sleep. The door to our room would not close properly so another safety concern. Breakfast was very basic in the morning despite the advert claiming hot breakfast available. Only a night guard number at night which does not get answered. Would not recommend this hotel.

Basic and not very secure

Awesome location, not a lot of light pollution so we were able to see the northern lights. Good breakfast, clean environment, very nice and kind staff. Will book again!

Property is nice and priced well. Breakfast was in line with other hotels we've stayed at in Iceland.

The staff here are truly amazing. They are incredibly helpful and genuine. Thank you so much for your hospitality.

Was a decent place , room was a little small

This was a cozy welcoming place, great location, perfect for 1 night in Hofn area.  Good buffet breakfast. I liked the Welcoming art work / pin board that showed all the locations/countries people were from. 

Good Location, Comfortable Accomodations

Stayed one night at this comfortable hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. The room was clean. The rooms are not very soundproof, but it was quiet at night.
Breakfast was ample and varied with coffee from a thermos jug.
The restaurant opens in the evening and offers the classic dishes, not the greatest culinary excellence, but solid, tasty and certainly sufficient. 
There is no elevator in the building.
Very spacious parking.
