We booked the hostel as an apartment, which was very spacious. We had a good bed, there was a kitchen available, shower was fine… so everything for a good night stay was provided. A recommendable stay in Flateyri.

The place is very nice, very clean and the views are beautiful. It’s located just about 24km from Isjafjördur and is located in the middle of a Fjord. It’s a small town and it very peaceful and quite. This is by far one of the best places that we ever stayed and we will return back again. 

One night here was OK. This place was a bit hard to find, as our map showed it in a wrong street. The adress is accurate, so you should believe it. :-)
The kitchen, the dining room and the bathroom was clean and well equipped. It was warm, and the beds were comfortable. We got everything that an icelandic traveller could wish. The host was friendly and helpful. The place is also nice. As you are reaching the hostel on the way there is a very nice sandy island.

This was a great little Guesthouse for us to end our 2 weeks in Iceland with. We arrived around 4 and waited just a little while to be let in ( if you do stay here, after you punch in the code, you need to use your hip to open the door). Our room was small but the living areas and bathrooms were great and there is a bathtub here. The kitchen area is well equipped and presented. There was nothing open for dinner so we prepared our own. Felt really at home with the place all to ourselves.

i just knew that this hostel is actually a converted from an office, now i can make sense of the room with glass door. first of all, check in was easy where we were given the pin code of the main entrance prior to arrival. this place require you to take off your shoes upon entering the building, at first i was a bit frustrated (again at another place?) as i didnt bring any slipper with me, as we (my friend and i) were travel light and only brought one pair with us, but then i was glad that this hostel do provide in house slippers in each room (unlike other places we have stayed before). so one good point in this! parking is free just outside this hostel. room has bunk bed and the space just enough for 2 pax with 2 big luggage. i must say that the room, kitchen and bathroom are simple and the most important thing is clean! yes the room has glass door (just like office) but it has curtain to close it from outside. just take note that each room can only be locked from inside, so just take care of your belongings if you travel alone.
