My family and I stayed here 1 night.  Our bedroom was on the second floor and the steps were steep and narrow. The room was nice and warm. There was a tv downstairs and a make-shift kitchen. The bathroom was downstairs and the showers downstairs down the hall. The breakfast was nice. It was an ok hotel, but the hotel was full and with that many
people sharing bathrooms and showers it just wasn’t exactly what I was hoping for.

The guesthouse offers parking right at the entrance. The bedrooms and common rooms are not beautiful or attractive, but quite appropriate, although - for the number of rooms - rather small. The restaurant in the same building has advantages and disadvantages. Apart from a small waterfall, there is not much to see in the nearby area.

As a sleeping place in order

Unfortunately we stayed on a Friday night when the locals seem to visit the adjoining pub for fun. We were wondering what the locals did for fun when we arrived around 7pm but soon found out when the shouting, music and speaking through a microphone started around 10pm and continued past 1:30am. The guest rooms are in a corridor right next to the pub room so you can hear everything. Therefore, I would not recommend this place for typical visitors of Iceland (road trippers who need sleep). 
The 2 showers are shared with 5 rooms (I think it is, but luckily we only had to share with another family of 3 and were late on the road the next morning so had time) which are one end of the corridor, and the 2 toilets are the other end of the corridor, so it does involve sneaking past a sofa set up and seeing other guests. 
I did find a bit of condom wrapper on my side of the bed on the floor, which turned me right off, so cleaning of the floors could’ve been a bit more thorough. We also had to ask for towels as there were none provided in our room upon check in. I would not recommend this place.

Do not stay here if you need rest/sleep

The guesthouse is in the same building with a bar on the same floor. Basically the bar and the guesthouse share one door. So at night on weekends it can be noisy until 3 a.m. If you want to sleep, you better pick another place. Breakfast is very sparse, polish per person and when we get there, we're out of bread. Maybe it was because the season is over, but it's still not cool.

Guesthouse attached to pub restaurant. Good for an unpretentious overnight. Clean but rather simple rooms, common bathrooms and showers still well maintained. Very rich breakfast included. Gentle staff.

Shared but acceptable

Small guesthouse with pub at the entrance of the village, in an industrial area so unromantic despite the nearby fjord. There is free parking next to the building. The rooms are reached through a somewhat narrow corridor. The room, with common bathroom, is essential, without TV, but with a small sink. Clean, while the common spaces seem a bit fanny.

Wonderful overnight stay in this guesthouse located near the entrance to Eskifjordur. Room rates are very reasonable compared to similar accommodations seen or stayed in during our 10 day trip through Iceland. Amazingly, a full breakfast is included in the room, something rare without having to pay extra. Breakfast consisted of a help-yourself simple buffet of cereals, a local type of delicious yogurt with muesli, hard-boiled eggs, salami, cheese, tomatoes, bread, pastries, waffles with fixings, coffee/tea. There are eight rooms. Each is clean, bright, well-maintained and well-outfitted with clean plush linens and comforters, a cupboard, and a sink with mirror. The room we stayed in also had a small table with two chairs. A nice touch were not only the water glasses on the table but also wine glasses. Two large showers are down the hall in which are provided hair/shower gel. There are two toilets which are however located at the other end of the guesthouse through the common area where the TV is, which means you may have to cross in front of other guests who are watching the TV with a quick "excuse me." You enter the guesthouse through its attached restaurant which offers an extensive reasonably-priced menu of starters, and main courses of fish, lamb, burgers, pizzas. Owners are a lovely hospitable couple who have been managing the guesthouse for three years. The gentleman is a qualified chef as was evident from the quality and presentation of our dinner (we ate in the restaurant the night we arrived). All in all, I would highly recommend the guesthouse as an excellent valued place to overnight or stay a day or two while you explore the east fjords.

Excellent value

It's a very nice guest house. It's in a quiet and beautiful town. The room is bright, quiet, clean and cozy. Although the house has a pizza restaurant, and there was a big and noisy party, the room was quiet. There was a clean shower and toilet. It's a very cozy common living room. Breakfast is included in the price, very tasty. The only drawback was that it was very difficult to explain to the owners in English.

It's a wonderful guesthouse.

We were skeptical of the reviews at first, but we were positively surprised. The dinner was very tasty, the room was a little small but okay - the beds were great. The breakfast with baked bread, delicious fresh waffles and coffee - what else do you want? Perfect for a night.
