Temperatures during our recent August visit to Sarospatak, Hungary were in the high 90's to low 100's so we were extremely grateful that the Retelvitez Vendeghaz had air-conditioned rooms with a kitchen, bath and reasonably comfortable queen bed. Parking was gated and very secure and two covered picnic table areas provided shade and rain protection. The location was a short walk to the Bodrog River and beautiful Rakoczi Castle and Park. As an added attraction, the hotel owners operate a one hour river cruise on the Bodrog.
