On the street where you find Sarokhaz Panzio, there are many small guest houses. I was attracted to Sarokhaz because of the delightful garden. The owner, Janos, speaks a little English. He is very helpful and hospitable. The rooms are cozy and comfortable. The breakfast was abundant and delicious. The price was quite affordable. 

This guest house is about a km from the central square.  It's about 10-15 minutes walking or 4 minutes by bicycle.   Kasztely is quite a pleasant little city. 

Very comfortable, lots of plants, welcoming owner!

We stayed in June 2015 for two nights and was excellent. Clean, comfortable and value for money.  Would highly recommend this and the Keszthely was lovely too.  Do go to Lake Heviv we had a wonderful time there as well.

Very welcoming owner and an amazing breakfast

The transfer from the hotel will be in 20 to 30 minutes. I swear it's not five or ten, as many people say. You have to take into account a lot of factors. The rooms are different and so you have to take into account everything: price and quality and floors and location. The most beautiful photos on the high floors.

It's all right!

Since we travel a lot for business, after six years we are back in Budapest and in our boarding house. The rooms are still very clean, although they are on a street, but they are in the back, so you can't hear the noise of the street. The price-performance ratio is still very good. However, the breakfast has decreased somewhat. Dinner was better before, but it is still very good. Staff very nice and helpful.

Business travel

Very convenient hotel for late arrival and early departure from Budapest, transfer from the hotel - 5 minutes. If there is time, you can also get from the bus stop, but the area there is not very pleasant. The rooms are spacious, clean. Everything you need for a good night's rest is there. The only problem is that the automatic water supply system in the bathroom is adjusted uncomfortably. While you are taking a shower - the water runs out a few times, you have to play with the sensors again.

It's a nice transfer.

In such a delightful location on Lake Balaton, which I recommend visiting for the spectacular scenery, we ran into a boarding house below all expectations. I had booked a suite for my friends, but we found ourselves facing an unrecommended structure.

Right of withdrawal

We stayed here in july 2012 and had a really nice stay. The owner is very friendly (although he speaks very little English, he speaks a little German) and was happy to drop us of at the station when we left. The breakfast is very big and will be brought to the door so you can eat it on your own little patio :) The location was good, about a 5 -10 min walk from the centre. The rooms are nice and clean and contain a fridge which was handy. However, do close the lid of the toilet before u flush or you're in for a nasty surprise.. 

If your looking for a great cheap pizza, try Donatello's on walking distance from the hostel, great value and awesome pizza's (try one with cream topping)!

Nice welcoming place to stay with a lovely owner.

While there are many places to stay in Keszthely, I would reccomend this one.

A simple (though very adequate) room, with a private patio, where your breakfast is brought to you - a huge Hungarian selection of salad, cheese, meat and bread.

The owners speak little English but are very friendly and keen to introduce you to their dog and terrapins. A nice authentic place to stay.

Great patio, great breakfast

Of the various options in Keszthely we chose Sarokhaz and, frankly, I don't think it was the best option. The gentleman who attends is very nice and the site is not bad, but I think that among the other options we compare some would be better. The room is fine even if it is already noted tired, mattress improvement, small and worn towels and worst of all... the hot water worked (we don't know why) for a while yes, another no... we think they forgot to turn on the heat and didn't fix it until we went to say that there was no hot water. Of course we couldn't tell anyone because there was no one in the afternoon in the Panzio and, therefore, we had to wait until tomorrow when we saw that there was water for the afternoon.
