Udvarház Hotel

This hotel combined for us a quiet, cool, clean room with friendly, English-speaking staff, a perfect central location in Kecskemet’s historic centre and a remarkably good price. Our ground floor room had excellent air con, which was really valuable in very hot August weather. Breakfasts were good and the receptionists, who all spoke English well, were very welcoming. I don’t agree with the review which says the hotel is hard to find: I saw its large sign before I had even started to look for it. Re the review about the Sunday morning church bells, we heard them too but the excellent air con meant we could keep the window closed, so not so much impact on us. The hotel’s location is equidistant from all Kecskemet’s sights and close to restaurants and shops, so it was practicable to return for cool rests during the daytime. ‘Improvements’ are planned soon. If that raises the price a bit, that will be a pity. For, from our experience, this hotel was really good just as it was. We were very, very satisfied.
