This is a beautiful small private hotel. The location is pretty good easy to reach from  capitol. The hotel has a really beautiful garden with big ancient trees, herbs, flowers, a small pond. 
The staff and owners are very friendly and helpfull. Rooms are nice and clean. The pool is small but good for chillin' with a glass of local wine. The service is pretty good and fast.

This was a lovely experience off the beaten tourist path.  We always try to find a location like this when traveling, and wow--this was a find.  A beautiful old estate with just a few rooms, it has kept its charm in both function and design.  We arrived to a gated estate where you call the desk and they come out to meet you.  During your stay, you have a remote for the gate.  We had dinner the first night on-property.  It was delicious.  The restaurant area is the converted carriage house, with a vintage Astin Martin, Bentley and Rolls Royce along the back wall.  An antique wooden baby carriage offers a selection of delicious bottles of Hungarian wine.  We liked the dinner selection--venison in a tasty sauce.  The breakfast selection is ample, including a traditional fried egg dish, different each morning.  Also, cheeses, sliced meats, vegetables, breads, danish and local jams and dips.  We had the Bella room.  Vintage everything, with a lovely view over the grounds.  Not reposting pictures of the room--you can see them on the hotel website in much greater detail.  Yes, as said in another review, the bath is small but was of course added.  It is highly functional, shower has great water pressure, towel warmer, etc.  No complaints. The hotel has free wifi--we used it in the restaurant area, not sure about the rooms bc we didn't try. We tried the sauna and enjoyed it--you have a giant wooden spoon to pour water over the coals.  there is a walking trail around the grounds that is a pleasant excursion with interesting views.    Csilla Horvath is (I think) one of the owners and was wonderful.  Can't say enough good things about how great she made our trip.  She speaks English.  Other staff do in a limited way, but for us part of the charm is being immersed in a new place and language.  With a few clicks of the mouse, the staff could translate what they are telling you.  Csilla arranged an unbelievable wine tour day--3 different wineries--plus a driver.  If you are used to California or Italy wine trips, believe us:  get the driver.  Each winery is an hour or two and the pours are full, not 1 or 2 ounces.  We toured Bodri, Fritz and Heimann.  Bodri pulled in their marketing person from across the winery who spoke English.  At Fritz, we had a delightful lady who was one of the regular employees.  She spoke 5 languages and we had no problem.  We had dinner at Heimann.  The owners both spoke fluent English.  It was a large group dinner--well, maybe 20 people, grouped into small tables.  Gourmet feast and more wine than you would ever believe.  Hungary has wonderful wine!!  Maybe our new favorite.  Alas, it is not much available in the states because there is limited production.  We started at about 1:30 and got back at around 10 pm.  LOTS of wine, new friends and great sights.  Highly recommend this property.  It is charming, romantic and something you won't often get to experience.  Sorry, in a couple of our pics I selected "view from room" which are really views of 3 wineries.  Putting the note here rather than trying to download big files again.

Well-managed, quiet manor or mini-chateau in a middle of the countryside hidden in a small village. Perfect place to unwind and rejuvenate.
Nicely decorated rooms, very attentive, friendly staff, really walking the extra mile to make your stay pleasant.
Opted for a half board, which was very well prepared, sourced from local ingredients, was really great each night.
They recommended great places to discover, which we might never found.
It is expensive, but worth it:)

Here you can really enjoy to be a guest. Everybody was very kind and helpful. The atmosphere is unique. Food was excellent. And when you are here, dont hesitate to see Szekszárd and visit the restaurant Optimus (Bodri vinery).

What we loved:
- amazingly beautiful and clean accomodation, gorgeous garden, the rooms are fantastic and special
- beautiful pool, great sauna and jacuzzi
- tasty food, local products, great breakfast

What we did not like:
The most expensive accomodation we tried in Hungary and for this price we missed lots of things and more attention.The price of the dinner (8000 HUF) -without drinks- is abnormal, it was tasty but average. And we stayed 30min after the working hours of the staff and politely,but we were almost kicked out. There were staff who were not so kind.
It is abnormal too that we have to pay 1000 HUF/30 min if we would like to stay a little bit more in the room on the leaving day.For the price we payed, a bit more flexibility could be included.Regarding dinnertime too.We are Hungarians and we travel a lot, so we have experience in accomodations and when you pay this price, you want to leave with satisfaction.
