I was lucky. I got a decent room with air-conditioning. The problem is with the plumbing in this hotel. You need boots to take a shower.

The people at the reception were nice to me.

It you need a remote control for the air-conditioning or a hair drier... call the reception they can help.

It's a two star hotel. Don't expect luxury. The breakfast was ok.

Two star hotel

The air conditioner was like 33 degrees at that time in Budapest, but it's not very hot, they put a minimum, but it's barely hot, they took the desk from it. The bathroom is very strange, but the water was hot and cold. The bed was clean, breakfast was good, they didn't spread anything yet, because they've been around since it started.

Good for a transit overnight.

An old, awful hotel, with a bathroom at all, it's not clear what, some kind of building in the middle of the room, with cracks in the doors, absolutely everything is heard and even seen; the guy with the shorter blanket, the half-rigged rags, didn't even want to undress what would sleep, spent the night on a bus tour one night, the worst hotel of all I've ever been, only breakfast saves them.

It was unpleasant to be in it.

Everything is terrible, except reception. Even waiter was rude when tallking with oldman from Germany. The night must be called 'before 20-30 years'. Tv has no remote controler, this is no so big problem, but it points to the target when talking about hotel level. 

Terrible

I was 2 nights at this hotel but in 10 days distance. In the first night the room was on 9th floor - clean, bed comfortable. The heating was turned on and we couldn't regulate the temperature. So we slept in an open window. The wi-fi was good. The negatives: no soap, no shampoo, no hair dryer. The 2nd night we slept in a room at 4th floor (404). It was awful... broken beds, dirty room, the bathroom was flooded, again no soap, no shampoo. the wi-fi signal average. 
The breakfast was fine, nothing special. The staff at reception friendly, the staff in the restaurant very ignorant and rude. 
The location of the hotel is far from the city center, but in In a quiet neighborhood. There is a big super market nearby

Not good, not bad

The hotel was probably rebuilt from a dormitory, since the bathroom in our room was obviously built in addition, but it is not finished at all, as the doors were walking, and the cleanliness had to be forgotten. It should be noted that the bedding was quite clean. A typical Hunor Hotel Budapest hotel, with all the consequences. If you do not take care of it, after the night before the trip and the whole day of the excursion, it is quite suitable for one night's rest. For a couple, of course, the rooms are a little strange, all the vegetable beds were baked, but the bathroom and shower in the bathroom were quite clean.

You can survive one night!

It is true that the hotel will not be very good, but as far as the quality/price ratio is concerned it is excellent. It has a slightly old structure but the rooms are always clean and functional. With a fair compromise you can stay pleasantly. a little far from the centre but taking a bus line (n.34 with a distance of 20 m. from the hotel towards the harpad hid and from there the metro n.3 up to the deck) you get there in a maximum of 40 minutes. As far as the food I would give 10 stars if possible.. I have half a pension with breakfast (international and Italian food) OTTIMA and dinner with typical ECCELLENTE (the meat is FANTASTIC). very available and staff friendly, know the limits of some of the hotel and if you make some notes imperfections in the room they will give you back the ideal hotel after all.

Discrete rooms, great food and plenty of breakfast, available staff who can speak English, negative note regarding the very isolated location and the not-so-recommended neighborhoods around it.

Above the competition average

The building is ancient, so you can imagine how the facilities are like; even the elevator is the slow, open-the-door before entering type. From the reception to the corridors of the hotel, the place is poorly lit and some even say (if you believe in those things) the place is haunted.

My friend and I got back to the hotel quite late and as I was about to go to bed, I kept scratching myself and felt like something was biting me. Lo and behold, as I snatched away the pillow, there were at least 4 or 5 bugs crawling on the sheets (see attached picture). Prior to that, I killed about 3 insects already.

Horrified, I approached the receptionist but he was very unkind. In a tired, bored voice, "What kind of insects? I cannot do anything because I am the only one in the reception." I do understand because it was quite late (about 2:30am) but I was appalled that he wasn't trying to find a solution unlike me. So I asked for a new sheet, which he provided, except that the sheet was also disgustingly dirty with questionable spots on it as if it hadn't been laundered (included in the picture).

Food was also so-so, but perhaps it was because our tour group coincided with two other groups. Bathroom is small and dimly lit, and here you can really feel that it is an old building.

Location-wise, it is not that far from the city, about 15 mins ride via taxi. Even then, I strongly suggest booking your stay in another hotel if you don't want a horrible experience.

Terrible hotel, save yourself and book in another place

If you don't have to be in this area to do business, avoid this hotel, there are better and cheaper hotels in the city centre! welcome: no room, although booking confirmation!!! after protest and documentation finally ok... smelly, covered, breakfast barely enough, money change - although inscribed- badge, restaurant closed in the afternoon due to technical problems, unfortunately no beer on the evening of 2100/2130, closed, because a group there... at least the service is hard at breakfast!!
