This is an excellent hostel (which I give 4 1/2 stars) in a very good location right by the Great Market Hall and few minutes walk to the bridge you cross to get to the Liberty Statue and the overlook which has great views of the city. The hostel was clean, beds were comfortable, customer service at the front desk was excellent, the wi-fi worked well, they had 2 small kitchens to cook in, lockers in the room, washers/dryers for a fee and there was a small common area with a tv and dining area. Minor negatives were the common area closes around 10 to 11PM, no elevator/lift and besides the 2 community dinners each week there were not a lot of social activities at the hostel. There are 2 supermarkets nearby (Aldi and a Tesco) and plenty of bars/restaurants nearby with a tram stop near the hostel. An outstanding hostel that I plan on staying at again if I go back to Budapest.

Excellent hostel at an excellent price

I spent a lot of time at the hostel enjoying the community there. The hostel is very central, close to the market hall and the danube. Staff and the ambience is generally extremeley kind and caring. I personally loved to study there, because it is quiet enough and still very lively which made me feel at home. Especially the thanksgiving parties are lovely!! And for night time you will always find someone to go on a pub crawl or watch Star Wars with ;)

friendliest staff, open-minded and open-hearted people

Had a great stay at Suite! Shoutout to the owners, Irwin and Alex, who took us everywhere arond town, we even ended up watching awesome ice hockey match in the venue! Convinient location, spacious place, good for budget travel and meeting other peps!

Chill vibes

This hostel is definitely one of the old school. It has many awards on the wall but they all date from around 2009, things have moved on in the last decade. The staff were very nice but they all seemed burnt out - probably due to doing such long hours and sleeping on a sofa between shifts. It had wafer-thin mattresses and one of the showers was broken - I can live with these things but a lot of hostels have raised the bar in this regard. The biggest disappointment was the lack of atmosphere here. There is a common room but it was emptied by an annoying American guy playing the guitar and singing as loud as he was out of tune. Had he not been there the situation may have been better and I do appreciate annoying guests are not the hostel's fault. I have to be honest though, this hostel is just average and in a city as big as Budapest there will be plenty of better ones.

Old School Hostel

I spent a month in hostel. I felt like at home. Suite giving everyday atmosphere like family home. It's nice and friendly atmosphere and very good people. I met new friends. Of course I recomending this place to stay for all people who want have good memories.

A unique and unique place

Great staff and seemed to have a lot of daily events happening, like free evening meals and parties. The hostel is in a great location also, it is right next to the main indoor market and within walking distance to everywhere.

Sweet hostel

I had a very pleasant stay in the hostel, the staff are super friendly, they organize a lot of activities for their guests and they really try their best to make you live the city. 

Also, the hostel is 10-15mins walk from the most attractions in Budapest, so almost no need for a public transport.

Super awesome staff

I think this is not the right place if you want to relax and need a calm atmosphere.

We stayed in a 10 bed mixed dorm, so we met people from all over the world without leaving the room. The staff was really, really nice - helped us with recommendations on a map, told us about the city, arts and history, showed and explained everything in the hostel. And very important for me: the guy told me where I can change cash without paying too high charges.

From the hostel you can go to a lot of nice places like the market hall, a super market and the river by foot.

The smell in the showers is in need of getting used to it but they definately looked clean.

Nice and easy

If you're 18 and looking for a party hostel this is the place for you. Unfortunately, for me, I was looking for a clean/sociable hostel with more of a chilled vibe - and this didn't cut it. Positives: good location (yet slightly hard to find), and staff who were really friendly and knowledgeable.  Negatives: broken showers, messy rooms, general disorder in common areas/kitchen, and beds that were super noisy so you couldn't sleep.  The WiFi also didn't work in the room but that doesn't bother me. This said, the other guests I met there absoluy loved the place - I think I was just not looking for the same thing. 

Not for me

I absolutely love this place. Been back for so many times and it's always so welcoming. Facilities are usual, it's clean, and the staff is the best. Especially Alex 😗 Highly recommended for solo travelers and anyone who wants to have an amazing night and then a good night sleep!!
