2017. októbere óta minden quadrokopter és egyéb pilóta nélküli légi jármű (drónok) tulajdonosának kötelező regisztrálnia járművét a thaiföldi Nemzeti Televíziós és Rádiós Bizottságnál (National Television and Radio Commission, NBTC). A rendelkezés megsértése esetén a thaiföldi törvényeknek megfelelően akár öt évig terjedő börtönbüntetés és/vagy 100 ezer bahtig (kb. 3 ezer amerikai dollárig) terjedő pénzbírság szabható ki.
