I stayed in this hotel way back in February 2012 and forgot to wire a review.  This hotel was very nice and perfect for earning your PADI Open Water Diving Certification!  the views of the city are very pretty, you are close to several restaurants and nightlife, and can walk to the former HQ of the Cuyamel Fruit Company/Banana Republic formerly of Central America.  The diving is spectacular in this region because so few people dive in this region.  Many tourist go further East to La Ceiba which is entirely too commercialized.

Photos look better than reality. Tela was pretty much booked up and so settled for making reservations here April 12-14. Staff was great and arranged a pickup from airport. So amazing staff and nice pool and bar there. Rooms were equivalent to price but not enough outlets and could use some remodeling. Had a street side room and was hard to sleep due to noise. I wouldn't stay again with a street side room for sure. Had free wifi and breakfast and for like 60 a night in a beach town you get what you pay for. So if looking for budget hotel this is a hotel that offers good amneties for the price.

This hotel is on a busy street in the morning lots of cars and trucks honking if you are in a room on the street side.  Like many have said try to request a room on the inside of the building.  Might be quieter!  April 2015 paid 800 LP/nt for a room with a twin and a double size bed (2 beds 2 people)

The staff couldn't have been nicer. But I wish I had known no one uses insulation in Honduras. I am a light sleep so the noise level made it impossible to sleep. Even in the US I need white noise. At the Hotel Marsol the bars nearby kept me awake until 2 AM then the traffic from 5 AM on. A fan and A/C did little to alleviate the noise. The next time I travel to Honduras I will bring head phones or noise blocking ear plugs.  

The ladies who clean and cook breakfast couldn't have been nicer ad the eggs were amazing! Who knew eggs could be great?

The desk staff and security guards went out of their way to provide excellent service even when we wanted beer in the middle of the night. 

I will absolutely stay in this hotel again.

Budget hotel and not first choice but Tela was booked for Easter weekend.

Great Hotel and Diving Package!

I see there have been no reviews of this place for 11 months and therefore I must admit that time has not been kind to this place. 

We paid nearly 1400L for a tiny double room with a smelly bathroom. We had to switch rooms first as the first option had a ceiling tile missing so the noise from the generator was deafening. 

Overall it seems a tired hotel in need of a facelift with a lacklustre (though included in room rate) breakfast. I'm sure you can shop around to find better

I know that Honduras is a very dangerous country and I had read that there is a lot of crime but I never imagined that staying at this hotel was the worst in the world when I arrived Man attended me at the reception I left my luggage in the lobby !! inside the reception!!!! because I was going to eat something with my family, then I came back and when the rooms were ready for check-in I noticed that my suitcase was not completely closed, at night when I tried to find my iPod with my headphones I couldn't find them, I went down to reception and I found the same man, in a very bad way he told me that they could not do anything, I asked to check the cameras but he did not want to help me, I asked to see the hotel manager but he said NO. He told me that he was the only one in charge, he didn't let me see the manager, the next day I ran out and stayed at another hotel nearby
