This hotel has a perfect location ! In the heart of Comayagua were you can walk all downtown and special buildings and museum. The cathedral and most antique clock 8n whola latin America is just a small walking distance.
The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and always trying to make us comfortable. Easy to ride a wheel chair.

Hotel Antigua has the best rooms, personnel, abundant breakfast and location !

My first impression was how big my room was.  I like a lot of space, and this time I had it.  And in terms of comfort and cleanliness the room was fine.  The location in Comayagua's colonial center was great, and though the hotel is large, it's old-Spanish  building style fits in well enough with its surroundings.  Because of the Covid pandemic the restaurant was closed, but the promised breakfast was delivered  to my room each morning; also, a small selection of sodas, beer, and snacks was available for sale near the reception area.  But then, there was a fine selection of cafes and restaurants within walking distance.  I might add, for I know it's a concern, that the neighborhood, and the city itself, impressed be as being very safe.

My only complaint is that in the early afternoon on the day of my arrival, loud music was playing from speakers on the premises.  I have no idea why.  But I don't recall hearing it subsequently.

Great choice in Comayagua

- Charming building and grounds. 
 
- Located one block from the central plaza with the city hall, cathedral, museums (closed due to the Covid Curse), and cultural center. 

 - The beds were soft with a cushy foam topper. Beds are notoriously hard in Central and South America, so I was happy to find a soft bed. 

 - The A/C worked very well and is needed in the hot, humid city. 

 - The restaurant was closed (Covid), but did provide a basic breakfast (coffe, Tang orange drink, eggs, beans, tortillas, and spam) that was delivered to the room at the hour requested. 

- The hotel entrance gate is guarded 24/7 and the property gate is closed at night. I never felt unsafe in this city, but if you have a lot of things in your car, it's nice to know it's secure at night.  

- There aren't many options in Comayagua. If you're staying overnight, this is one of the better ones. The room is not impressive, but it's clean and functional, and has good A/C. 

- The pool is big and clean and there are bathrooms near it. The garden setting outside is nice. 

- There is an outdoor restaurant patio  by the pool, but food was only served for breakfast and it was brought to the rooms because of Covid restrictions. The breakfast was very basic, but it sufficed. 

- I arrived late at night and the property was hard to identify because it's on a dark side street and there were no signs, just a locked, solid wood parking lot gate. But I called the property, and they promptly opened the gate. 

 - They didn't have a record of my reservation. Fortunately, they had one room left, but it wasn't the room I reserved (it had an extra bed and no balcony), but it was much cheaper, so that's good, but it took a lot of discussion with the big boss over the phone to work it out. So if you plan to stay here, call the hotel and verify your booking. 

- One of the office clerks spoke English.

 - The room was dingy. Old curtains and stained bedspreads. The oldest dinette table I've seen in a while. 

 - The WiFi was non-existent everywhere. I even went to the lobby to have the receptionist try to connect me to a different area, but there just wasn't a signal to be found. The lobby has the real WiFi, to which guests do not have access. We get the fake Wi-Fi.  

- There were 2 large holes in the ceiling and I could see the metal roof above. I worried about waking up next to a mouse or cockroach, but I never saw any pests of any kind. It didn't seem to affect my room temperature, either, but it's still a bit dumpy to have holes in the ceiling. 

 - There's no elevator, but there are only 2 floors. I was on the 2nd floor, and a staff member carried my suitcase up for me.  

- The bathroom towels and bed sheets were a big rough. 

 - It takes a while for the hot water to get to the 2nd floor rooms, but there IS hot water. There ISN'T a bathroom window, so the bathroom is hot after showers.

All in all, it's a bit run down, but still appears to be the better choice in Comayagua.

Great location, better choice in Comayagua

Visiting Honduras many times over the last few years and this place is probably the best when it comes to location and rooms. Prices change according to the seasons but nothing crazy. Make reservations early

Probably one of the best places

Stayed at the Antigua Comayagua and the service was nice however the rooms although satisfactory, the bed was hard as a rock. Additionally, they had several young people having a party and also woke me up at 600 am in the morning the next day.

This would be my last place to stay. Not recommended...

Nice place for the money but....

My family came to Comayagua to visit family while experiencing Semana Santa. This hotel has a whole new section added to it, and we were lucky enough to be put in one of the new rooms. The rooms are almost TOO spacious, lol. Air conditioner really helped during such a hot month, and the food from the restaurant was DELICIOUS. There are water tanks on each floor and pitchers in the rooms so you don’t need to buy water if you don’t want to. The pool is particularly great especially when you go during the hot seasons. The staff was very accommodating and pleasant the whole time. Basically had a perfect stay there. Only thing that could possibly pose as a problem is the limited parking, but the hotel is right in the center of EVERYTHING so having a car was not necessary anyway.

Best location you can ask for

The hotel is very clean and comfortable. The staff has been very friendly and helpful. The best part is the walk to the city center is less than a few minutes. Only complaint is that the restaurant has weird hours. 

Very nice

Rooms are okay, make sure your doors are locked at night, they have sketchy employees working there. There is a rumor that they will steal money out of your luggage. Hide it well. It is close to the downtown, however it is told to not go out after dark. The pool is nice for my children,.

Internet and security is not good

This place look fine at first sight. However, there was a child playing the DJ nonstop when I got there and the music was very loud if we should to that the fact they were doing constructions, a total mess. So where to start, I was not help at all with my luggage or showed the way to my room, so I had to guess where this was. The decoration around the room were nice. Now the bathroom in the room needs to remodel big time, the water would not drain, and let add there was no HOT water until 5 and ends at 9PM, this is very inconvenience, specially when you arrived tired at 3:30 PM, all you want is a shower.  There were not really friendly people, except for the morning lady who was trying to give me another room to just shower because it was 7PM but the water was not warming up in my room.
Now, the "breakfast" if you can all it that was was very nasty, the lady just asked " Desayuno=breakfast" and brought some cold friend eggs, old beans and hard bread, really disjointed. There is a pool but can really think you can all it that was there was so much work being done around and the it was soo tiny.

2018 Central America

Stayed there for a few days and the rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast could be better however overall was a nice place to stay. The place is in town center hence a nice place to hang out. Well recommended
