Our Insel Air flight got delayed by 27 hours and they provided a room at this hotel. Check in was seamless. The room and bathroom were clean and a good lunch and dinner was served. The inn is in a safe neighbourhood and there is a supermarket nearby.

Off season we stayed in the Residence Inn for five nights at the end of August 2015. And it proved to be the ideal relaxing place we needed. Very quiet, a 15 min walk from city centre, tremendously friendly and helpful staff, clean room, a delightful swimming pool in the back - your lifesaver after a long hot day in the city - and never running out of ice cold beers. 
Compared to the much noisier Duke Lodge - another Roraima hotel downtown - the Residence Inn felt more attractive to us. Not in the last place because every driver in this town loves to blow his horn. And there are a lot more cars downtown. 
Enough attractions around the hotel. One road ahead of the Residence Inn lies the modest African heritage museum, a 10 minute walk further away the cheeky modern art museum, and right next door the Botanical Gardens. For good restaurants you need a car in the evening - but that counts for every hotel in Georgetown.

Relaxing place in a busy city

Good location, feels save, nice quiet hotel to stay, good neighbourhood.
Nice waitress at the bar, we enjoyed banks and el dorado and were serviced kind with a smile.
Front Office friendly and efficient.

2 night stay

The hotel staff are superb hosts, very pleasant and helpful.  

The room was modest in size, clean, no mosquitoes, comfortable bed, reliable electricity, good wi-fi.  The complimentary breakfast is good, well prepared.  Evening meals were well prepared, large portion sizes,  very pleasant chef.

I do a lot of business travel, the staff in this hotel are genuinely friendly and helpful, they are in the top 5%; from front desk to chambermaid to security, to chef.

A pleasant stay

The hotel is quite good and the staff very very friendly. The restaurant was a bit to cold for me and we always had do turn it off, and they always turned it on😂but however.. I was so happy they had continental breakfast. if someday I will go back to guyana I would choose the same hotel.😊
