Great staff, very friendly and kind people running the place, they make you feel like home. I spent around three months in Rio Dulce area and I kept coming back to Mar Marine to hit the gym, pool or have a nice meal or drink. Thank you for everything, guys.)

Paradise in Rio 

Mar Marine Yacht Club is in a delightful setting and run by charming and efficient staff. There is a very good restaurant with delicious food. They were extremely helpful in coordinating the tracking and return of some lost property.

Kind help during difficult times

Owners of this place make you feel like family. The apartments have AC, and they are fully equipped. View is awesome and there is a nice restaurant very close to this site. We had a situation with a tour provider but Marlen and his son tried their best to help us.

I have talked with Jeremy by messanger asking for information,  he responded to all my questions and I did the reservation, I found a really great service, an awesome hotel and view, I met Jeremy in person and he is a cool guy who gave us the welcome to the hotel.

Perfect Hotel with Amazing View 

It was a delight to stay with Jerimiah at Mar Marine in Rio Dulce. We stopped here going to and coming from Tikal. The staff was super helpful, and fun to work with. Jerimiah met us when we arrived and made sure everything was perfect for our stay including a quick property tour. The room was spacious and clean with a kitchen and everything you need to prepare a quick dinner. The Mar Marine Restaurant was fantastic. Well prepared meals and extremely generous servings.  Mar Marine is a great spot to tour the river attractions then take a tuk tuk or walk across the bridge to town for supplies.

Enjoyed Mar Marine

We spent a few winters here, enjoying the pool, restaurant, and Saturday night at the movies.  The warm boating community and friendly staff were very helpful.  An easy walk to fronteras for additional restaurants.  Proximity and escorted trips included maya tenamit zip lines, seacacar Park River tubing, as well as visits to livingston and the beautiful aqua calienta water falls.  May an Ru s and comm Ty shopping trips were also available through the community contacts

This resort has 24hr security, English and Spanish speaking staff, Very courteous and helpful ensuring the stay was what we expected and beyond. New rooms have been built on the second level of the building which are very modern and comfy.

BEST OVERALL EXPERIENCE...A Marina setting with a Hotel and Restaurant. Great Memories!!!

Dark, forgotten treehouse in the back of the property nestled under the freeway bridge and next to another ship yard. Great barbed wire fences but doesn't adequately hold out the noise.NEVER again. BEWARE! This is a ship yard with a restaurant and should bot be considered a place to stay unless you're here on your boat. We came to consider coming to the Rio with our vessel but gratefully because of this experience will save the funds and time for something else. The room is the worst we've ever experienced because of the noise from the bridge which it is under. You may as well forget paying for such accommodations and go ahead and sleep under the bridge at the roadside. For this is exactly what it is except for walls. the bathroom is falling apart, the towels used and the beds and pillows are not worth mentioning. You can hear your neighbours in the next rooms so well you know what they're saying, what they're doing, what they're planning and ALL bodily functions/ Stay at the backpackers at least you can see the face of the people you're bedding with. the Heater doesn't work and because of the language barrier when asked for blankets we received sheets. Theres many other places to stay, this was a mistake of monumental and epic consequences. When asked to refund our additional nights so we could leave for another place they were unwilling to do so. At $77/night in a 3rd world I expected a little more. 

The Best place if you like to hear your neighbours bodily functions throughout the night and sleep under a Bridge!
