Turned up at 8pm after 12 hours on a bus from Lanquin. We had a reservation but when we arrived it was closed. We had to walk around in the rain with our luggage looking for somewhere else. Shame because the reviews are good

Was closed on arrival

The location is ideal. It's about 10min walk from the port. It's a 3minute walk to the local markets. It also has a big supermarket 2 or 3 minutes away. The area is safe.  

The rooms are clean and the beds are  comfortable. Towels are provided. The bathrooms is clean. The Wi-Fi is very good. 

A great place to stay if not looking for something fancy. This was exactly what I wanted. Super cheap when compared to everywhere else. 


Great value

This is a sweet little bakery (I think it's family run).They are all very kind and patient even when I accidentally took the lock for the outside door and put it in my purse, and was very certain I did not have that lock... and yes I had the lock. They wee so kind and laughed it off. The rooms are cleaned daily with private bathroom and very safe. Waking up to the smell of fresh bread is a treat! If you want to chill after a day of whatever it is you do, there is a little area with clean drinking water and table and chairs. The water is a bit funky for showers but apparently this is a problem for most places in Panajachel.

Cheat, clean, and friendly and close to all things delightful

Was not expecting much booked the night before on booking.com and not much was left.It is a bit hard to find.Its entrance is a cake shop.Accross from another bakery .Staff were helpful. Rooms small but comfortable and water was hot.I got my bag repaired a few doors down while I was there and left it accidentally too late to pick up so the owner paid for me.Overall would recommend for backpackers on a budget.

A good suprise 

I do not understand how people can say this is a good place. We reserved some rooms through booking.com but, when we arrived, the hotel was closed. Only after a phone call at booking.com, we could enter. They forgot our reservation and 2 people in my group had to go somewhere else (after another long call to booking. com). The staff is lazy and disinterested. We were 3 people and they put only 2 towels in our triple room, we had to ask them many times for a new one. Rooms are terrible, small, dirty and noisy during all the night. The day after the first night, they did not clean and left wet towels inside the rooms instead of replace them with new ones. Avoid this place!
