Breakfast (included with room) is served in a lovely garden courtyard.

This is a great place to stay in Antigua, Guatemala and is an excellent value. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The courtyard garden is absoultely beautiful. The room was very clea, and the bed super comfortable. Breakfast is fantastic. There are also a lot of outstanding restaurants to walk to in the immediate area. Great location for touring Antigua. This hotel has earned my highest recommendation.

We spent 2 nights. We initially wanted to book the Hotel Eterna Primavera, which is from the same owners. We wrongly booked the hostel. Initially we asked for a change, but after having seen both we realized there is no big difference and in the end we stayed in the hostel. 
Both of them are traditionally built and have patio communicating all the rooms, which is nice but can be noisy during the night. I had read comments complaining about the noise. We were super lucky and were the only guests in the hostal therefore, we slept perfectly.
The breakfast was correct.

Correct, clean and with feiendly staff

The hotel itself is comfortable, tastefully decorated and in a great location. The service was friendly and the breakfast was great. So, why the low rating? We booked two different drop offs to Guatemala City for different members of our group. Both times the car arrived a tad late rather than on time. What was worse was that the second time it arrived with the wrong destination on the voucher the driver was carrying. We set off but the driver seemed very unhappy and rude about it. He seemed to have no freedom to change it from Hotel Intercontinental to Conquistador - which was one of two destinations he was supposed to drop us off. He had no phone that he could use to talk to his boss Byron. He insisted in using one of our phones even as he drove at high speeds. Finally, after several phone calls he said that he would drop us off at Conquistador but would ask more money for the other location nearby. That would have been ok with us except that he seemed clueless about Guatemala City and didn’t know his way around and didn’t have a GPS. We guided him with our GPS even as the battery drained down and worked our way through some dicey neighborhoods until we reached Conquistador. Traffic was bad but all Byron seemed to be focused on was why it was taking us so long to reach our destination and he called repeatedly. It was a relief to get out of the car - unsafe driving, rude service, lack of any kind of freedom in managing changes at the driver level, nagging boss Byron and lack of knowledge of city streets - made it an almost dangerous experience. Primavera put us in unsafe hands for our drop off to Guate. Taking Uber to our final destination in Guatemala City was a pure joy in comparison in every way.

Great hotel, beware of awful drop off to Guatemala City

My wife and I spent a few nights that this hotel in central Antigua. It is very close to everything in central Antigua so you don't have to worry about getting around town. The room was small but had two VERY COMFORTABLE beds. Might be the best sleep I had in all of central and south America. The bathroom was good, clean, and the shower had great pressure and temperature. The hotel is small and only has seven rooms that all face the inner courtyard. In the morning, you go into the courtyard and the staff serve a small typical Guatemalan breakfast of toast, eggs, and refried beans. The staff were all very nice and spoke very good English. It was a bit overpriced for the area (about $50-55 per night) but the beds were so comfy it was worth it.

Super comfy beds!!!

Loved the rustic and contemporary fusion of design. Almost no furniture in the room, but you get a comfy bed and a lovely bathroom. A cupboard, shelf or hook would be desirable. Breakfast in the pretty courtyard was a cool affair, they have no room for covered space.

Pretty design elements but a bit basic

It is all about the HOT SHOWER st Primavera.  You have arrived at the La Aurora airport and have driven past dozens of diesel spewing chicken buses, dusty roads, trash fires, corn stubble burning and have arrived in Antigua and JUST WANT A SHOWER!  Hotel Primavera is your place!! Scalding-hot water (watch your young children, they could get burned) and amazingly hard water pressure but with soft droplets in a very clean and attractive modern bathroom. The place was very clean. The cleaner/cook/door opener does an incredible job as well as letting you through the front door and always smiling. The patio was pretty. WiFI was very good. The room was basic but beds looked new and were very comfortable. The negatives; the room facing the street was noisy. There was no door on the bathroom just a curtain! Why? There looked like there was once a door between the bedroom area and bathroom please so this could easily be sorted! We weren't happy with the fact there was no lock on the room door and this was highlighted when one of the receptionists came in unannounced without even knocking! He had actually let us in the hotel entrance door an hour before. This was unacceptable! Breakfast was fine but one day my friend was told there was no breakfast and another time she had to wait half an hour and no-one came to take to take her order so she had to go and ask for some!
